    The images are definitely different with the dome off. When I originally bought it, the phone ring was missing that goes around the lens. Hikvision was good enough to send me a new one. It is definitely better than what it used to be.

    Attached are pictures taken from my mini dome in the living room. One in medium light and the other and night vision. I'm not sure if I am expecting more and I'm going to get or if I am having issues with its configuration. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    I haven't had a problem with any of the 4mp cameras. All of them took firmware updates correctly. I did buy one from B&H photo. Apparently they are an authorized dealer. So far that's been my least favorite camera though. Picture sucks and night vision is worse.
