He actually revised it to 6. I'm thinking he doesn't want me to sleep and wants me to think I live next door to an airport.

I wish I had an answer for that because the LTS cameras are actually Hikvision cameras rebranded by LTS.

DS-2CD2432F-IW has grainy picture in the dark

I know if the lady across the street goes out her back door into her back yard, that's enough to trigger it to zoom and record. That's got to be more than a few hundred feet. I don't know if the video shows it very well, but the IR on the thing "kicks into high gear" at long distances and it's...

DS-2CD2432F-IW has grainy picture in the dark

Thanks fenderman! I'll give this a try... I ran these through some editing software to blur private information so I think I've degraded the video a bit. These are smooth in Blue Iris and not jittery like they came out here. First timer... but you can get an idea of how it works in automatic...

DS-2CD2432F-IW has grainy picture in the dark

We purchased the PTZIP762X20IR from LTS which I believe is the Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL. It's a full PTZ camera and we've been able to recognize faces day and night. The IR on it is phenomenal. License plate recognition during the day is excellent, but at night they're not distinguishable...

DS-2CD2432F-IW has grainy picture in the dark

Thanks to all your help a few months ago (especially fenderman), this is my current setup. I still have a ton of tweaking to do on it, but it's getting there. I have to say that the dome camera facing the street is absolutely the best money we spent. It has the "Smart Tracking" feature and we...

WDR = Off was worse than the previous adjustments (not much). WDR = On at 8 = Better (attached)

DS-2CD2432F-IW has grainy picture in the dark

Thanks for all the replies! Sorry I'm so late getting back! That thing we call "life" keeps getting in my way! Anyway, I reset everything back to the defaults (didn't seem to make any difference) and here's what the settings look like. This is actually an LTS CMIP8932-W which is an LTS...

DS-2CD2432F-IW has grainy picture in the dark

I really like these cubes. They work great as long as they have some light (even low light). When they cut over to IR they get pretty grainy as shown in the screenshot. Are there any adjustments I can make to clear these up a bit? I've messed around with some of the settings but it hasn't...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Finally figured it out... For some inexplicable reason, the update to BI 4.2.8.2 changed my firewall settings. As soon as I changed them back everything started working like it did before the upgrade. Sorry for the confusion!

Anyone using No-IP port 80 redirect?

What does your url resolve to? If I perform the following trace from a command prompt: tracert mydomain.noip.org Tracing route to mydomain.noip.org [8.23.224.90] It always resolves to 8.23.224.90 If you run a trace on yours, what does it resolve to? My actual IP address is different...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I love your interface. A few days ago I noticed that I was experiencing problems with opening it in Firefox. I've spent the last few days going through my routing, port forwarding, etc and everything's working properly. I also updated BI to version 4.2.8.2 and also downloaded the updated UI2...

Hi 4Qman, Did that microphone work for you? If so, could you provide details about how you got it to work? Powered or unpowered, strip wires, etc? Thanks!

    Microphone recommendations

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations for exterior microphones to use with Hikvision PoE bullets and PoE+ PTZ's. They need to have good quality sound and be reasonably priced. I'd like to know what you're using and (based on your experience) what you'd do differently now. Thanks in advance...

    BIT Server settings not persistent

Hi Mike! Love, love, love BIT. Thank you so much for all the work you do on it. I'm setting up a new system and have the macros, overlays, watchdogs, port forwarding, dynamic addressing, remote access, and bp2008's web files all working perfectly. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the...

    PoE switch question

Hi alastairstevenson! The 12V cameras only have the following description: "12V DC, PoE" The 24V cameras only have the following description: "24V AC, PoE Plus" From those descriptions I can only infer that they can be powered by either a 12 or 24 volt wall wart or a PoE (or PoE +) injector.

    PoE switch question

The PTZ cameras do specify that they require PoE+... If I get a PoE+ switch, will it step down to PoE for the 12V cameras? Or... maybe I could get the PoE switch I mentioned (I will want to add a couple more 12V PoE cameras in the future) and then just get 2 PoE+ injectors for the PTZ's? I...

    PoE switch question

Initially I'm going to set up an 8 camera system. 6 will be DC 12V and 2 will be PTZ cams requiring AC 24V. Will a POE-SW881 be sufficient to power all 8 of these cameras? Also, it seems like the 100mbps ports should be sufficient for full (smooth) 1080p video throughput, correct? Everything...

Help with milkisbad cameras in BI

Yes, I've been using BI for a few years. Started with version 3 and am now on the newest version. The only unfortunate part is that I've always used Foscam or Foscam clones. Hence the reason I'm abandoning the old system and want to go with a much better product. milkisbad's catalog is...

Help with milkisbad cameras in BI

Hello! I really need to get my surveillance system started and would like to buy all my product from milkisbad. I've PM'd him back and forth but it seems like he's overwhelmed. He sent me to his test camera website (PM for website info) and said to use the Hikvision protocols to add them to BI...
