You can set the router and camera to use the same port. Make sure the port you chose isn't already in use. 1-1024 are reserved. If 8000 isn't working, 8008.- frankred

Whatsmyip shows the current external IP address your modem is being assigned from your ISP. Some ISPs change this often, some don't. If your camera works at home on with the local IP address of the camera in the app, you will put your external IP into the app. There are lots of videos on this...- frankred

The user name and password will stay the same. The port should stay the same. The IP address is probably t he onlything you will need to change to get it to work off of wifi. Did you go to whatsmyip.com?- frankred

Try doing all your testing from home with your smartphone. Connect phone to wifi, enter local address into your app of choice. Once that is working, disconnect wifi and use cellular data. Change the app credentials to use external address (whatsmyip.com from wifi) or DDNS address of you have...- frankred

Night image gets more dim with time
I have a DS-2CD3345-I that seems to do a bad job of adjusting it's IR over time. When I reset it to defaults, the night image is good. However, it seems that the IR output is reduced over time. I am not sure if it is the fault of the camera or the metal fence reflecting the IR back at the... -

iVMS4500 forget my favourite cams for live view
