    Blue Iris - Computer Crashing?!

This may be a long shot, but a few months ago, Intel published some patches to correct the security issue in their processors, the original patch was defective and known to cause spontaneous reboots. The patches were eventually rolled back and new ones published. You may want to check and see if...

Are you getting the BSOD? If so, what does it say?

Can you provide a link for that camera? Searching google on the model number you provided only turns up this post.

    License Plate capture example....

How does it perform during the day? When I tried to do LP reading, I could get it to work in the day or in the night, but not both because the settings had to be so different.

    License Plate capture example....

Holy crap! That is amazing!. Can you tell me the model of the camera, lens configuration, settings, etc? Was this at day or night? Did you use an IR filter on the camera? I have been trying to do the same thing but have not had any luck. I have been able to get the plates during the day, but...

downgrade windows 10 to 7 pro

That can be done but is not really a good idea because the UI seems to hang (at least for me) every few days and when that happens, I would imagine the recording would stop also since you no longer would have the window service running in the background doing the recording.

downgrade windows 10 to 7 pro

I have used pfsense in the past...it should do what you want with regard to blocking....about the headless server...I currently run it with the windows service and the BI gui up on the monitor. The gui has a habit of hanging every day or so which would not be good if it was also responsible for...

Yep, which is why I updated to Win10 to get around that issue.

downgrade windows 10 to 7 pro

I upgraded from Win7 to Win10 so that I could use the BI hardware acceleration, which I never did because right after that, a bunch of the BI releases had issues, so I never upgraded. I hate Win10, mine is always trying to connect to places it should not given that the only thing it does is run...

Yeah, I had to re-read it a couple of times myself...my wishful thinking thought it said "so they have"....lol

    Blurry Images with Reolink

Was he asking if they have added iframes or stating that they did? I read it as he was asking since he said "have they added". Also, I have not seen any other posts mentioning that they have been added.

BlueIris software as a "client viewer"

Just a note to those that are concerned, I do actually have a second license I bought just for this purpose. My question about the firewall was purely educational. I bought a second license a while back hoping that Ken would build in Remote Viewer capability some day.

Thanks, it does, I appreciate it.

BlueIris software as a "client viewer"

    >Create a new rule in the firewall to block BlueIris.exe to access the internet. I am not using the built-in Windows firewall, so I can't just block the exe. Do you know what url/port BI connects to so that I can block that at the actual firewall?

    Blurry Images with Reolink

I'm curious about something...if the issue with the ReoLinks is that the iframe interval is long and cannot be adjusted, what is it that the ReoLink viewing client is doing to avoid the problem that BI is having? I'm not defending ReoLink in any way, I'm just trying to understand what is...
  20. C

Reolink decided not to add iFrame interval because it'll cause issues for "some people".

I'm not even sure why they need to reproduce the problem, just add the damn option! Like Fenderman said, keep the default as is and allow the user to override it if they need to. That way it does not impact or cause trouble for people (although, I can't imagine what trouble they are talking...

    Viewing BI on my TV?

I tried it and it saturated my network. What I did not try however was some sort of VLAN configuration. I don't have any hardware that supports VLANs, so I was not able to try it.

    Viewing BI on my TV?

Agreed, the picture quality could be better, however, at least for me, that was not really a factor because I am using the TV view just to get an overview of what is going on. If I need detail or to check something out, I use the BI app. I use a dedicated switch for bridging receivers mainly...

    Viewing BI on my TV?

I used some HDMI extenders that work over Cat5 cable. The nice thing is, if you run the output from the transmitter to a hub/switch, you can connect multiple receivers, so I am able to see my cameras on every TV in the house...

Please upgrade Blue Iris to version v4.3.9.5 or above to be compatible with Reolink

Re: Please upgrade Blue Iris to version v4.3.9.5 or above to be compatible with Reoli That is what I was wondering too. I can't find any information. All I know is that when I logged on to the ReoLink forums site, there was a banner across the top of the page that says "Please upgrade BI to...

Please upgrade Blue Iris to version v4.3.9.5 or above to be compatible with Reolink

Re: Please upgrade Blue Iris to version v4.3.9.5 or above to be compatible with Reoli Yep, all of mine are currently under the Generic selection, which is why I'm wondering if I have to set them all up again. Is there now a ReoLink profile that can be used? What does the auto discovery show for...

Please upgrade Blue Iris to version v4.3.9.5 or above to be compatible with Reolink

That is what ReoLink is telling all camera owners. So the question is, after I do the upgrade, do I have to re-setup all of my cameras, or will the changes to the ReoLink profile be updated as well?

Some specific links to forum posts would be quite nice instead of just to the forum...saves everyone from having to page through all the messages just to find BI related issues.
