Hi all Have some 2mp Dahuas and plan on adding some more but can't see me having need for any more than 6. Want to run Blue Iris. Any advice on which to pick from the below? I don't want to over spend on the pc. Save some for the cameras themselves. Business Desktop

Recommendation of starlight camera (better than 4MP)

I like the way you broke down the model number convention. Is there any reference to find out the rest of the numbers? E.g. Turret = "" ; Fixed lens = "" is there anything for focal length? what is Z12 above?

    alternative to dahua NVR

Hi I have a Dahua NVR with two Dahua cameras. I do not like the interface of the Dahua NVR. I also find it a little difficult to setup. Also, the NVR is very noisy. I have a POE switch, so no need for the POE on the Dahua. Is there a good alternative to an NVR that I can use? Cheers

My ISP does not support VPN - alternate way to view my ipc remotely?

From what I've read, port forarding is not recommnded due to security issues. However, I managed to successfully port forward last night. It worked perfect for about 10 mins where I could see perfect live feeds. After that I lost video feed. I checked my upload speed which is 20 mbps. Now...

Setup VPN - I have router specific instructions - do they make sense?

HI all Trying to setup my VPN in order to view my IPCs remotely from my android phone (2 cameras and 1 Dahua NVR). The biggest issue I have is the ISP, who provides a restricted router and if I install a third party router, then the Terms and Conditions of my ISP contract are breached (yes, I...

Dahua NVR will not find either of my two Dahua IPCs

ok, the router is from my ISP (SKY). I have now re-arranged my connections so the switch is connected to my router, and my router connects to my NVR. (preevously I had a cable from my switch direct to NVR and a separate cable from my router direct to my switch) For this situation, nothing shows...

Thanks. Not sure why, but when I view the NVR now, it has the 192.168.1.60 camera in both the top and bottom box. No other camera present. The status is RED for the camera in the bottom box. When I log into my router, for some reason I do not see the cameras nor the NVR in the list of...

Dahua NVR will not find either of my two Dahua IPCs

And I can update that.... It is not fixed. I am not sure I am cut out for this IP camera game, I thought I had enough basic knowledge about networking. - I can log into both cameras now with no problem. I assigned them both to be DHCP. - I have also logged into the NVR and clicked the DHCP...
