    IVMS alternatives for Windows?

Thank you for such clear instructions. Finally got around to doing this. Firmware on the cameras is 5.4.5 build 170123. This seems to be the latest firmware. The live view on the cameras on IVMS continues to reset itself back to the playback error where it says that the stream is encrypted...

    IVMS alternatives for Windows?

It is one camera in particular that does it constantly, with three other doing it every once in a while. I'm using the DS-1608NI-E2 running v3.4.98 and all of my cameras are DS-2CD2032-I. How can I see the firmware of the cameras?

    IVMS alternatives for Windows?

Has anyone been able to nail down why certain cameras lose the encryption key on IVMS 3.2? I have the one camera that loses the key every 20 minutes or so; it is driving me crazy.

    IVMS alternatives for Windows?

The new version works better, but I still get these random notifications that the stream is encrypted and it will not show the video until I hit OK (encryption phrase is already populated), even if I was previously watching the stream. It is driving me crazy. Is there a fix for this?

    IVMS alternatives for Windows?

Thanks! I've downloaded it and am testing it out. If It stops freezing, I'll be in a good place. I like the software, but it wasn't working well for me.

    IVMS alternatives for Windows?

Are there any alternatives for Hikvision cameras/NVR that I can use to replace IVMS? I'm having a few issues with v3.1.1.13. Every time I start it up, it asks for the stream's encryption key and it also freezes randomly pretty frequently. I've caught myself looking at the timestamp to make sure...

What is the relationship between EZViz and HikConnect?

I have a hikvision nvr and for the longest time I used EZViz to view cameras when away from home. I then upgraded my firmware and switched to HikConnect since I thought that this would be the only way to see them remotely. Admin password was changed too and an encryption key to the streams was...

Thanks, I have fixed that issue and it is now set to 554. Still not working. What do you recommend instead of port forwarding?

    Issues with port forwarding

I'm having some issues using DDNS from remote computers and would like to see if I can fix it. Here's what I have so far for port forwarding on the router: These settings match what I have on the NVR. However, DDNS is not being able to forward to it. I get a "This site can't be reached"...

Using a switch for Hikvision cameras and NVR

I apologize again for my ridiculous omissions. I plan to run a wired connection between the Google Wifi node in the image and the main Google Wifi unit. I hope it will be less than 100m overall, so I should get good speed out of it. If I wire the NVR to the new PoE switch, I'd have to run 2...

Using a switch for Hikvision cameras and NVR

Here's my current setup: So, based on what you say, the best way of doing this is connecting NVR to Router and Switch to Router, right? Is there a guide on what I should do to indicate to the NVR that it should record from cameras? I'm assuming I'm going to have to go fully manual for this...

Using a switch for Hikvision cameras and NVR

Sorry, I left out some facts. I have the HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR. Cameras are running straight to it as it has PoE. I figured that I'd need a switch with PoE, but I'm not sure how to run it. Your suggestion seems to be camera -> switch -> router. I was wondering if camera -> switch ->...

Hikvision nvr and poe camera problem

Is PoE on the NVR turned on? I had an issue where PoE was turned off. I went into the NVR's software and turn it on. This can easily be seen by looking at the status lights in the back of the NVR. If they're off, PoE is off.

Using a switch for Hikvision cameras and NVR

I've had my system working really well for about 2 years now, but now I might have to move the NVR. I like to monitor cameras using HDMI and I'm not very fond of the web interface, even on the local network. Instead of running multiple cables to the new location, I was wondering if I could get...

    Issues after Hikvision NVR Flash

I agree and I explained the point to them. The call was being recorded and the support technician told me that she was going to send the recording higher up. No idea if she will do it. I told them that they should make a better effort at cracking down on people selling their stuff without their...

    Issues after Hikvision NVR Flash

If anyone finds this using Google, I discovered that PoE was completely turned off. Go to Menu -> Cameras Setup - PoE Information and select PoE-af on all ports currently in use. That should fix it.

    Issues after Hikvision NVR Flash

I decided to flash new firmware to my DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR to see if I could improve browser compatibility. The flash went well and I put in 3.4.3 160822 without issues. The NVR now boots up and is fully functional, but I'm getting the NO LINK message for each camera. I haven't a clue of where...

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

I have a Delta PSU and it is very loud. It is the one I want to replace. I just noticed something in my picture: http://i.imgur.com/V8lIiry.jpg There's an unused MOLEX connector! Maybe I can use this to power a different fan? I still have my original concern: the fan is inside the PSU...

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

Do you think that will be enough to cool the PSU having the fan outside of the PSU? By the way the fan is located, it seems as if the PSU is pretty much the only thing that needs direct fan cooling.

HikVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P - some pics and first impressions

Guys, I finally decided to look into the fan noise. As stated a couple of times in this thread, the tiny fan is noisy. I started by opening up the unit to see what kind of space I had to work with and noticed that the fan is inside the PSU. I thought this was a fan mounted on the case and a...

So I've enabled email attachments that send me 4 pictures when motion is detected. The problem is that I'm getting an image that is really small and it is hard to see anything. I couldn't find an option to increase the size of the attachments. Is there a way to do this? Here is a full size...
