false triggered video tampering alarm when IP cam switches from night mode to day mode

nah, that won't work either, as cars drive down the street at anytime during the night, which switches the IP CAM from night mode to day mode for a minute or 2.

false triggered video tampering alarm when IP cam switches from night mode to day mode

i wouldn't consider disabling the feature altogether a feasible solution to the very specific issue i described.

false triggered video tampering alarm when IP cam switches from night mode to day mode

i have all Dahua setup DHI-NVR4216-16P-4KS2 running the latest firmware System Version V4.001.0000005.1, Build Date: 13-07-2021 And when IP CAM's automatically switch from night mode to day mode will often trigger a false video tampering alarm Any ideas howto solve the false alarms ?

i had the same issue, and also needed to enable https to workaround the issue, however i'm still not clear why this suddenly became a requirement to view live in https only ? there was no change in my NVR, previously i was able to view live via plain old http....no changes on NVR, and same F/W...

so i switched over to ONVIF Version19.12(V2.8.0.949611) protocol on the IPC, and motion detection still working just fine, camera names didn't change either the only issue i've had using ONVIF, is the main stream date+time overlay position changed / bit messed up, the sub stream date+time...

IPC i have are: IPC-HFW1831E...

    Low power system

Having a separate pc for blue iris and PoE switch, will consume more power than a NVR with built in PoE switch. Dahua nvr you can remotely view live IPC streams using gdmss app on your phone/tablet etc, works great.

    Latest new NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_ V4.001.0000005.1.R.201126

    Low power system

Unless you have fast motion, you will not visually notice the loss of frames, you'll only notice frame loss in fast motion scenes, and at higher frame rates etc.

    Low power system

whilst motion sensing appears sensitive on Dahua IPC, you'll find getting the right sensitivity balance of valid motion recordings difficult, e.g something moving from wind in the motion field of view, can very easily trip motion detection, resulting in many motion tagged files on the NVR. Also...

IP Camera that is able to allow me to zoom in

that's what varifocal is, optical zoom, like others have said, varifocal is really for occasional lens zoom adjustments, not frequent lens adjustments. And having a varifocal IPC, you get both digital zoom plus optical zoom. But again any form of digital zoom is inferior to optical zoom. A...

IP Camera that is able to allow me to zoom in

yes DMSS supports digital zooming using pinch to zoom multi-touch gesture, however is far inferior to lens varifocal or PTZ with lens optical zoom, there is no comparison between digital zoom to optical zoom. Digital zoom really degrades image quality, even when IPC sensor is 4K resolution...

    Seagate Skyhawk vs WD Purple

Also consider the well known fact hat WD have been very untrustworthy in recent times, just lookup the NAS RED SMR drive class action, WD really miss-lead the industry and lots of NAS folk had enough and started class action, which could have easily been avoided if WD exhibited more honest...

HFW-1831E - what really *is* the latest firmware (and do we care...)?

the quantization error at every i-frame distorts the image, which reduces the clarity of the image, which is particularity important, especially for tying to identify finer detail in images, such as rego number plates etc...so yes it's vitally important subject, and we'll happily continue...

HFW-1831E - what really *is* the latest firmware (and do we care...)?

the I frame pulse is very difficult to see in night vision mode, as you've only got shades of grey, but it's still there. Luckily the current and latest 2.8 F/W has very little i-frame pulse with h.264, even in the brightest daylight scenes.

IPC motion detection is disabled via camera GUI, once logged in click on setting > Event > Video Detection, then uncheck Motion Detection Enable button. I also record 24x7x365, and have enough NVR storage for my requirements, so disabling motion detection is a non issue for me...Would be good if...

i have the IPC-HFW1831E running F/W V2.800.0000000.5.R, Build Date: 2020-01-07, and not observed the erratic B/W behavior.
