Hi, In general how do the people counting cameras work in terms of alerting? I know you can get reporting over time, but it can it do alert based on a threshold set? If occupancy gets to a certain number I would like to alert IVMS and trigger a contact or relay. Anyone have any experience...

Did you try startx? You could also run raspi-config and change the boot options to desktop v CLI. Not sure why the rpisurv would change that.

Probably a dumb question and it has no use at all....... but what is it used for?

I am going to give this a shot tomorrow on a RPi4. Have you tried it on a Zero W? I am probably only going to run 640 x 480 or maybe 720p

Cool device indeed. In my case the modulator (Analog UHF) is already installed and working. The existing TVs are not DTVs in my case.... A QAM version of this for the US would be an option in other projects... I will hunt around. I may try a RPi RTSP > HDMI to composite video converter...

Composite video > to RF analog ultimately.

So.... I know this is a strange request. I have a client with an older analog system where 3 of the analog cameras are modulated on to an RF analog TV system..... aka DTV boxes creating their own channel lineup. Anyway - They want to replace the analog cameras and go IP with an NVR. Easy...

Well..... I decided to simply reformat the drives. They are now working normally. Wish I knew what cause them to error out after reboot. I have an alert setup to let me know what of any further disk errors. I should have set up the alert straight away. Live and learn.

It looks like NVR was rebooted - then I see exception HDD Error 1 & 2 in the logs. So the reboot caused the HDD to error out? Before I do anything - I will reboot again and see if they come back.... worth a try.

I have a Hik NVR that has been working fine for over a year. We added another camera yesterday and I went to check the motion recordings today. I found none on this new or any other camera. In the storage management area the two drives show as uninitialized with free space as zero? Any idea...

Are there any NVRs that can control relay outputs? Or any way to make this work with a NVR other than a full blown automation/control system?

It looks like Andy mainly Dahua cameras with a few HIks... still looking. I know he is a good guy. Nellys does not appear to have an amazon store? LTS looks like a good direct solution.

Hi, I recently setup this camera up. For some reason the live view is only showing the top left hand corner in IE. I cannot see the entire image. When go full screen it works fine and I can see the whole image. Any ideas? Thanks
