I tried to figure out how long a "triggered" motion event is . What I came up with is 10 seconds as long as nothing else continues to trigger it obviously. can anyone else confirm this? ( yes I guess it might differ from firmware versions , but probably not )

Just realized something I find odd. ( maybe a screw loose in the head ) .. with this 4MP camera DS-2CD2042WD-I , I get a JPG file of roughly 1000kb during daytime and at night it obviously drops down alot to about 350kb. While on my other camera which is 3MP, DS-2CD2T35 I get a daytime...

good evening , at least here I got this camera with serial: DS-2CD2042WD-I20151031BBWRXXXXXXXXX numbers only replaced with XXXX..... this is what I see when I check serial number in "Device information" The numbers matches the sticker that was on the camera , original carton , english...

Can someone tell me what the difference is inside the NVR ( looking currently on a DS 7608 NI - E2 ) is between the models with 4 PoE ports and the one with 8 or 16 ? Is the difference only the amount of ports or any other hardware specs that is better with the bigger models ? I only got 2...
