    60% CPU w/ Optimizations

It was 100% the sub-stream, my utilization is < 10% now. Thanks guys! Now to reconfigure my motion detection and finish setting this bad boy up :)

Thanks - will give that a shot and see how I fare.

    60% CPU w/ Optimizations

I'm referring to changing them directly to the camera; I'm not sure why they are no longer present. They were there when I used the Dahua NVR. Once I ditched it for BI I no longer had that same access. Is it fair to say that nearly everyone who is running low CPU is using sub-streams? I had no...

    60% CPU w/ Optimizations

Thank you - I never had an issue changing the camera settings, I had tweaked everything directly to the cams when I used the NVR, but now most of the drop-downs are blank. I'm really hesitant to reset each camera, taking the 5442 apart is a bit of a PITA and I need to get on some ladders :) Your...

    60% CPU w/ Optimizations

Hi Guys, Wanted to check the optimizations with you to see if you thought I've exhausted everything in the Wiki (and beyond) and if I should be comfortable/complacent with 60% CPU/50% RAM utilization. Please also let me know if there are any screenshots that would be helpful here! (4) Dahua...

    Dahua Connection Issue

Thank you! I'm tech savvy, I'll go that route with a laptop if factory resetting means removing each cam and manually resetting it (that would be a huge PITA).

    Dahua Connection Issue

Hi Guys, Scratching my head here. Started out with a Dahua NVR and all cameras issued an IP/accessible via browser/NVR Moved to Blue Iris set-up Unable to see my cams in EdgeRouter; they're not on a typical 192.168.X Used Dahua Config Tool to find my cams, they're all there and issued...

    NUC6i3SYK BlueIris

Good call-out, I'll either find another use for the NUC or send it off to a good home. Thanks Sebastian! Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Tapatalk

    NUC6i3SYK BlueIris

Hi Guys, I happen to have a spare NUC sitting around with the specs below. My current system consists of (5) IPC-T5442T-ZE and I have a TL POE switch with enough ports to accommodate. I also have a Synology DiskStation DS218play, which I can use to store footage. It's running two RED drives. I...

    NVR: Disable IR on IPC-T5442T-ZE

Tried and true words of wisdom. When I hit the "e" I cannot open up the individual camera. I was previously able to access it through the web-based GUI otherwise.

Of course now that I upgraded firmware on camera and NVR, all the feeds are black/blank. #gah

    NVR: Disable IR on IPC-T5442T-ZE

Hi Guys, Using NVR4208-8P-4KS2 with IPC-T5442T-ZE cams. Can I either a) auto set select cameras to color during day and B&W at night? Or, b) turn off IR? Use case: cams that point in direction of outdoor lighting that have select areas blown out. When I manually toggle to B&W, they look great...

    Dahua NVR: Ideal Set-Up Question?

Hi Guys, My current set-up is: EdgeRouter X -> TL-SG1016PE <- NVR4208-8P-4KS2 <- 5 PoE cams. Is there any benefit to running the cams right into the TP-Link Switch? 5/8 PoE ports are available Today, NVR is assigning IPs to the cams (looks like a unique range) and they aren't static (from what...

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll try giving the closed cell foam above and then seal with silicone. I wasn't able to create a drip loop based on where the wiring is, although that would have been awesome.

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

Got the 3/4" gland. It fits in the box perfectly, however the hole is nearly as large as the one that's already there. I feel like I'm missing something here...there are other size glands, but none large enough for an already-terminated RJ45 to pass through.

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

You guys rock! Hopefully this won't interfere with stuffing the cables in the box.

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

How would you guys handle this? I didn't see anything in the instructions for use of the other two holes...I have all exterior wires, nothing is coming through the wall itself. When you look at the Foscam mount, they have a waterproof component that seals the hole. I don't see anything like that...

    Mounting Suggestions for IPC-T5442T-ZE

Thanks for the quick reply! May be a good idea to hold off on that junction box and see if I can just hang it using the cutout. The camera is only 1.5 lbs and my wiring is already run outside, so wouldn't be taking full advantage of the JB anyway!

    Mounting Suggestions for IPC-T5442T-ZE

Hi Guys, Looking to mount this model to the vinyl siding of my house. Is the best move PFA-140 to a vinyl cutout box like this? Struggling a bit with how to mount this flush on the vinyl and without adding so much bulk/projection (box+mount+cam). I'm sure you guys deal with this all day...

    Set-up Guidance

Hi Guys, Here is a basic sketch of my house. Yellow boxes indicate potential camera locations and the little arrows, the direction they face. Was looking at IPC-T5442T-ZE or IPC-T3241T-ZAS. Would love your guidance on placement, coverage, and hardware. Thanks!
