    This is news to me. I have always understood that VPN was a good strong, but simple solution that is available on most any modern router...I guess my VMS is not as secure as I thought. I still believe that rogue devices such as IP cams should be totally blocked from the Internet.

    Sounds like you may ought to stick to Mac. Windows 10 is great for the vast majority of people but there's a handful of people it doesn't like.

    Im probably just misunderstanding, but I don't see how whitelisting would have helped. Hackers spoofed as the same user as the real user.
