Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

I found a way to fix this problem thanks to a tip from Andy. Go into the storage schedule, disable Intelligent, reboot, and then re-enable it. I did this and all cameras now appear to be displaying correctly.

WTS Lots (10+) Hikvision cameras and NVR

I'm in the process of upgrading my Hikvision setup to Dahua and am selling off all my old stuff. I originally purchased everything from LTS Security, who was a vendor on this forum at the time (not sure if they still are or not), so all my cameras are USA versions and upgradeable via firmware. I...

Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

Yep, this definitely seems like one of those mysterious computer issues! In fact, I just checked and noticed that one of the channels just decided to "fix itself", even though I didn't touch any of the settings around then. I guess I'll just cross my fingers and hope the other channels that are...

Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

Channel 1 and 2 are the ones that seem to only show a continuous blue bar, so I tried removing all cameras and only adding a single camera back (one that had correct green/yellow bar behavior). The camera now in the channel 1 slot, also only shows a continuous blue bar now so there is definitely...

Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

Yes, it is using the private protocol, port 37777. What is even stranger is that two channels are on the same physical camera (boobie cam 4MP), and one channel is showing continuous blue, but the other one is fine (mostly green, with yellow or blue lines).

Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

Tried deleting the cameras and then adding them back, but the problem still persists.. just a continuous blue bar.

Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

Hmm, ok I will give that a try. What is interesting is that previously I had Hikvision cameras attached as the cameras which would show the continuous blue bar, but I figured it was due to the non-Dahua camera. Now that I swapped the cameras out for Dahua cameras I figured the problem would go...

Dahua NVR continues blue (intelligent) recording?

I can't figure out why some of my cameras are showing a continues Intelligent event when searching on my Dahua NVR. Each of these cameras has a IVS line crossing trigger, and all of them are also set to record continuously. I'd expect to see green (general) most of the time, with bits of yellow...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Thanks all. I turned the FPS down to 15 and 24, am using H265 and 4096 bit rate and it seems to run smoothly now.

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Oh, I was running at 30fps. I will turn it down and try that.

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

I just got my camera mounted yesterday, but noticed it has what I believe are CPU issues if running both streams using H.264, CBR, 8196 Mbps. I noticed the recordings where extremely jerky and missing frames, and when I looked at live view on the camera directly noticed the same thing. In fact...

Anyone stopped receiving IOS alerts from DMSS in the past couple of days?

I have my cams/NVR on a VLAN with no access to the WAN/Internet. Maybe I need to allow port 8888 through?

Anyone stopped receiving IOS alerts from DMSS in the past couple of days?

Ok, I enabled the Tripwire and Intrusion notification, but didn't seem to get any alert when the IVS triggered.

Anyone stopped receiving IOS alerts from DMSS in the past couple of days?

How do you setup your cameras and NVR to enable push notifications through DMSS? I found the setting in the DMSS app, but would I also need to enable something on the camera? I already have IVS setup on the camera and it sends me an email, just want to enable the alert on the app as well. I...

Oh, I think I may have found the answer to my own question.. AI Search! That seems to be what I'm looking for.

    motion detect setting

Thank you, found it! Motion does seem to be getting recorded now when I check the playback area. Is there any way to easily filter to SMD or IVS events on the NVR? For example, in one of my cameras I have SMD (vehicle, person) enabled along with a SD card in the camera. When I playback on the...

    motion detect setting

I just installed a 5232-4KS2 and am also running into problems with motion detection events being recorded. It seems on my NVR I'm completely missing the Video Detect menu under Camera, so am unable to even configure motion detection on the NVR. I do have it enabled on the cameras directly...

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

I just finished downgrading my Z12E to the 201119 firmware. All went smoothly and I was sure to do the factory reset before and after updating the firmware. The only nuance I am seeing is that in the Dahua ConfigTool the camera model is no longer correctly reported and just shows "IP Camera". It...

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

Ahh ok got it. I found an old email I had with Andy and it appears that the 201119 version is the last one prior to adding SmartIR, so I will put that back on the camera and then never update the firmware again. I usually never touch the firmware, but am upgrading a bunch of old Hikvision...

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

I just installed the 220818 firmware on my 5241E-Z12E and noticed that there is no SmartIR setting in the UI, but I want to make sure SmartIR is disabled. If I go to the Backlight tab, I noticed that BLC is greyed out, which makes me think the cam has SmartIR enabled (as that is why BLC would be...

Front Porch Pic & Cam replacement

What mini dome model do you recommend? I have some old Hikvision mini-dome cameras currently at eye level and above my door, but would like to replace them with newer/better options (ideally with package detection, etc). I also have the 5442 elsewhere on my property, but would prefer a smaller...

Dahua best cam 2021? (Now 2023!)

Another thing to note is that 2.8mm on the 5231 is more like 3.6mm on the 5442 due to the larger sensor size. I noticed this as I just replaced one of my 5231's with a 5442.

Firmware for newer dahua cams as well as detailed specs available here

I just picked up a IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E from Andy. It came with firmware: V2.800.0000000.20.R, Build Date: 2020-09-03 Is there a later version of firmware that I should upgrade to? I read that some of the later versions may have fixed a focus issue.

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

Are there any problems having the PTZ lower around the 9' - 10' range? Reason being is that if I go higher there are tree branches that end up blocking the view to the sides.

Is 5231 and equivalent still better than 5442 due to IR washout

Ok, I knew I shouldn't have hopped back into these forums, as my wallet is now going to be much lighter :). I was totally fine with my 3 year old 5231's and my 5 year old 4MP Hikvision turrets, until we had a mail theft occur a few days ago. Now that I'm learning about all the new models and how...

Is 5231 and equivalent still better than 5442 due to IR washout

Ok, it sounds like an upgrade to the 5442 is definitely something I will be doing. I just need to decide whether to go with the IR or LED models. If I read correctly it is not possible to have the LEDs come on when motion is detected, correct? That would be amazing if that was an option.

Is 5231 and equivalent still better than 5442 due to IR washout

That looks really good, but I was curious how it would compare in low light against the older 5231 or the current 5442T-ZE?

Is 5231 and equivalent still better than 5442 due to IR washout

I'm curious as well as I have several older 5231's that I am looking to upgrade. Is the 5442 IR the go-to camera these days or is the 5442 AS-LED the one to use? I could definitely see an advantage of having color at night.

    Review-Dahua Starlight IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 800 meter capable ePOE

Ok, I just edited my post and inserted the images inline with my text. The IR reflections may be bouncing off the walls and archway, that is what I need to test further. I will attach a picture of the IR reflection later tonight. Regarding the focus, I don't think the camera is focusing on the...

    Review-Dahua Starlight IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 800 meter capable ePOE

I ordered two of these cameras, and I have noticed that one of them appears to have the focus problem where the focus is off between day and night. This particular camera is setup so that it is zoomed all the way in, so perhaps the issue is more pronounced using the longer focal distance. I...
