I have a Synology Diskstation 1821+ for video storage. I also have a 2 Surveillance Station software licenses for it. Not sure if all the functions on the PTZ are supported though so, I may need to get Blue Iris or similar software.

I am looking at the SD5A425GA-HNR PTZ camera and want to connect it to my Synology DS1821 with Surveillance Station. Has anyone done this? I plan on powering it with a good brand name switch that has POE+ power capability. Is this $750 PTZ camera a good match for an installation like this...

I'm interested in details regarding the SD8C845QA-HNF primarily which shows a 1st QTR release. The SD4A425DB-HNR is also of interest for later in the year which is shown with a June release date.

I have already tried that without success. My PC says that I have an invalid configuration and only accepts DHCP. I'm wondering if this is being enforced by my Internet Service Provider since I can't even save with the same settings I have manually.

I can't reset or change the camera IP. It only initializes to 192.168.1.108. I guess my only option at the moment is to see if I can change this on my computer to make it a 192.168.1.xxx
