    Power adapter for DH-IPC-HDW42A1EN

There are power outlets installed next to the cameras so it's literally 2 inches it has to go. There are no PoE switches. There isn't really any extra money to put into this outside of a power adapter.

    Power adapter for DH-IPC-HDW42A1EN

I understand that. But it also has the option for a power adapter. I am using an old Foscam power adapter on one of them but I don't have any more available so I am looking for some. Thanks.

Blue Iris 3 crashing every other day

For the past month I have had issues with Blue Iris crashing. It does it about every other day. Starting Blue Iris again leads to an immediate crash. I need to reboot the computer to run it again. Here is the event view info. I am not sure of what to make of it. The server is Core i7 4790k...

    Cameras losing signal

Yeah... I know... I honestly didn't expect this. When I had 6 cameras on a box I did not have any problems for the last two years. I decide to consolidate them all onto a single box and then the problems happen. I think I am just going to separate them again. What a waste of hardware. I...

    Cameras losing signal

I am still having the issue. I thought the firmware fixed it but it didn't. I cannot view camera even through it's own browser application. I have to either pull the power to reset, or I have to send a command via the browser. Blue Iris reset will not work. I had to create a web page that I...

    DS-2CD2332-I - no pan/tilt/zoom?

Our security officers use it daily to follow people. Many people use cameras for investigation after something has happened. We are actively trying to stop incidents from happening.

    DS-2CD2332-I - no pan/tilt/zoom?

Well crap. The listing clearly states pan/tilt/zoom. Good thing Amazon has a good refund policy. EDIT: Is there a model by them that has those features? For indoors, of course.

    DS-2CD2332-I - no pan/tilt/zoom?

Bought a DS-2CD2332-I and it does not seem to want to pan/tilt/zoom in either the software it came with or Blue Iris. I have the control panel up but when I click the icons nothing is happening with the camera. Is there a trick to it? Using the manual here...

    Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I power adapter

Thanks. We actually have electrical installed where the cameras are because we don't have PoE switches. I'll keep searching for adapters. Oh, and are these going to be difficult to setup? I noticed the manual and software is all Chinese ha ha.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2332-I power adapter

Can anyone recommend where to get a power adapter that will fit these units? I didn't realize it wouldn't come with one. Radio Shack didn't have one.

    Recomendations for low budget camera?

We are a smaller City in our state but we do have branches to all the major banks and a couple of credit unions. I have no idea which banks they are referring to. They did say that convenience stores such as Circle K and QT have the best quality footage they have seen in town so far though...

    Recomendations for low budget camera?

We've been very happy with our Foscam FI8910W's at work. I know there are a lot better cameras out there (in terms of video quality, build quality and support) but they have served us quite well for the price over the past two years. We did try the outdoor model FI8905W on WiFi and they did...

    Cameras losing signal

Thanks for the suggestion of updating the firmware. That seems to have resolved the problem.

    Cameras losing signal

I am unsure if this is a Blue Iris problem or not. I used to have 5 camera servers, each with 6 Foscam FI8910W cameras on them which has never experienced this problem. Today I have built a new "super computer" to let all 30 cameras on them. What I am finding is some of the cameras randomly...

    Aux

Thanks. I have been running the cameras on separate systems but have finally got the funding to basically build a super computer to put them all on.

    Aux

Thank you. Also, can you tell me how much benefit will I see with an i7 6-core chip versus the i7 4-core chip with Blue Iris? I am debating between these two: Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz - $389 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117402 Intel Core...

    Aux

I just updated my BI to the latest version and see that there are AUX options for where to send recordings. I currently have 2, 4TB hard drives and have everything stored on the primary until it's about to run out of space and then move it off to the secondary as room is needed. With the AUX...

Possible to use TrendNet TV-VS1 analog to IP converter?

I have 4 outdoor Panasonic WV-CW374 cameras that I have converted to IP using the TrendNet TV-VS1 converter. Picture shows up fine on the converter end but I was hoping to get Blue Iris to record the footage. There is no driver for the converter in Blue Iris that I can tell. I have tried all...
