Even powering down completely didn't work. In the .bin file, there's a file that shows the camera types this firmware os for, it shows some options that only TiOC camera's have, I think the firmware is wrong. That is not the first time... I even have a reply from Dahua, they said to contact...

I've powered down the camera completely, removing the PoE cable and waited about a minute. It came back up later and all the rules still work, but again, no option for PTZ in the IVS rules. It's now connected again to the NVR. :confused: I have emailed Dahua Support. See if they have a clue.

Hi Del Boy, were you able to check with your supplier? I have been able to open the device and remove the backup battery for a day, but still no success. All it shows is a screen with NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER, some 010001011010100011 and some blue blocks. but... the drive runs, the network lights...

:shame: It worked fine, but I heard there was new firmware supporting HTML5 so it would work on every browser. It was more or less an experiment and I'm not without recording, as I use Angelcam and BlueIris too, but somehow I just DO want to fix this device.

At the end it turned out to be a very simple and much overlooked issue. Powersafe on the external disk.... it took too long for the disk to start up after a period of no activity, causing the issues. I have selected 1 camera that records non-stop so the drive stays active and all issues were gone.

I have firmware, but the device doesn't respond, so I can't use the webinterface to get the firmware in.

Today I noticed an update to 4.1.0.4 and the logging returned to normal, logging everything except of file moves in stead of the other way around. Fixed! :)

I have uninstalled BlueIris and reinstalled from scratch. Same issue, all Dahua camera's.... I also keep having 'unexpected restarts'. I think it's time to email Bi Support.

I installed the Standard version, but unfortunately the errors don't go away. Edit: After a full restart the errors have not been showing for at least an hour, when these cams are recording, so yes, it probably was the codecs that I forgot to install. 1 error after 1 hour: H264 Codec missing...

Is it just me or is in the latest release 4.1.0.3 logging a bit enthusiastic? I used to have about 10Mb of log files per month, disabling 'Log clip storage/delete details'. The latest release puts all these moves in the log, building log files of about 200 - 400 Mb's per day ! I can't even open...

I've seen this behavior on Tway, Jovision and even Dahua. I heard that the camera's would be set to non-authenticated onvif in the firmware, not accessible for the users. Nice! ... If this is the case for these cams, then a local NVR and no portforwarding is the only option.

I've just started ODM on a system it hadn't run on before and connected to a camera over the internet. Even though it didn't show me the video this time, I was able to reboot the camera. I guess it's all about open ports...

I've even seen Onvif Manager retrieve passwords from a camera and placing it in the mjpeg url.:oh: I'll do some tests on a pc where the app hasn't run on, see if it may have stored some passwords somewhere, but it's scary.
