Can't find settings for VLAN on my Dahua Cameras

Today I realized there is no setting for VLAN ID on my Dahua Cameras. I guess I will have to use an untagged port on my switch then. Also there is no dual IP stack.

Ohh... well here it's 6,83 USD/Gallon. However I have an EV and a solar cell plant that produces more than I need. I understand and sympathize with you though.

    Recommended settings for IPC-T5442T-ZE

I haven't got any IPC-T5442T-ZEs yet but they are on the way. However I've got a few IPC-T5442TM-AS with FW V2.800.15OG004.0.R, Build Date: 2020-12-03. Initially I set these cams as I used to set up my old 2MP Starligt cameras with a frame rate of 15 FPS and an I-frame rate of the same value...

Various arguments in favour of and against running DeepStack on a separate host

Yeah, and all my IPC-T5442TM-AS and IPC-T5442T-ZE models are using IVS rules. Whats new is that I'll start replacing all my older models, e.g. 5 pcs IPC-HDW5231R-Z and 2 pcs IPC-HDW4231EM-AS. They are good 2 MP 1/2.8” starlight models that performs great but they lack the object filtering ability.

Various arguments in favour of and against running DeepStack on a separate host

I like your strategy @Holbs and even if it will cost me some $ but I'm actually halways through replacing my older cameras with the IPC-T5442TM-AS and IPC-T5442T-ZE models. Thanks for sharing!

Various arguments in favour of and against running DeepStack on a separate host

Hi there! I haven't really seen any discussion about the pros and cons of running DeepStack locally (same host as BI runs at) vs running it on a different host in the LAN. Currently I'm running DeepStack locally but I'm tempted to set it up on a different host as a Docker image. The reason is...

Choosing Dahua firmware from a list of firmwares with no further explanation

Good point! Generally I try to upgrade firmware for any electronic device that I have in my childish conviction that new firmwares generally introduces bug fixes, security updates and improvements. Contrary to what I just said, as an IT consultant I have learned during the years that " if it...

Choosing Dahua firmware from a list of firmwares with no further explanation

Hi guys.... Sometimes you will find yourself having to choose between different things in life. That can be a challenge but even harder if you don't know what each option means. Would you like to have "lkjh" or a "kjhlkjuy" ??! Today I was just looking for a new firmware for my...

Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z refuses B/W mode in night profile due to partially lit up image

Thanks guys! Doing what you told me solves the problem. I already have a script in my home automation that sets the day / night profile and I guess I will just have to alter it a bit to deal with modifying the schedule instead. But I'm happy that you told me about this workaround solution! Your...

Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z refuses B/W mode in night profile due to partially lit up image

Hello forum members! I have a couple of IPC-HDW5231R-Z with firmware version V2.800.0000016.0.R, Build Date: 2020-06-05 I have set them up to use Day/Night in profile management. The problem is, when I activate the usage of "Day/Night" (instead of a general or a full time profile) the Mode...

DeepStack fails to find any object if the triggering source is ONVIF

Thanks @wittaj , you are a very helpful forum member! I appreciate that. About the little "orange person or vehicle showing up in BI"... -We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. Having said that, another bonus with also running it through DeepStack is the counting of various objects...

DeepStack fails to find any object if the triggering source is ONVIF

I was just thinking that DeepStack might not have a detection mask if not using "Motion sensor" as a trigger source. I read in the BI documentation that "Any part of the image not covered by at least one zone is considered masked." I realized that might be the culprit here... I haven't...

Some Dahua Camera settings don't persist after reboot

Hi there! I post this information here in case someone else is experiencing the same problem. Who knows, with a little bit of luck maybe someone can suggest a solution. DeepStack fails to find any object if the triggering source is ONVIF

Guys, I have a small problem and I just can't solve it by myself. Please tell me if you think you have any ideas how to get things working again. Blue Iris is at version 5.4.3.0. Due to many changes lately I can't say at what point my problems started. Currently I'm using the Blue Iris built...

Just updated to new BI ver 5.4.3.0 and it broke object detection

I'm at 5.4.3.0 too. I can't say at what point it happened but for me everything works great if I use the Blue Iris built in "Motion Sensor". When I switch the trigger source to "Camera's digital input or motion alarm" for using the cameras ONVIF triggers, no triggers will get through... they end...

    Hell Yeah! Direct Deepstack Integration - 5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

I use openHAB at the moment . I depend heavily on MQTT as a central message bus. That's a good idea (Arming and disarming) , face recognition would also work I guess :)

    Hell Yeah! Direct Deepstack Integration - 5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

This is great stuff! I really appreciate it. I have one question though... When an alert occurs, I have set up BI to publish a MQTT message. I would like to use the DeepStack "detection text" or whatever it's called, e.g. "person:82%, cat :46%" as the MQTT message payload. It would be easy if...

Using alarm signals from cameras for motion detectors

FWI, I know that Blue Iris can extract IVS alarm events right out of the ONVIF stream. I tried it and it works well. However since many of my cameras haven't got IVS, I've instead started using AITOOLS together with deepstack AI which gives me much better precision. AITOOLS talks MQTT as well so...
