    Compatible Light Bulb cameras?

Purchased a cheap light bulb camera that works with Blue Iris. It works fine in Blue Iris except the PTZ doesn't work. The PTZ does work in the camera app but not in Blue Iris. Didn't really need a light bulb camera, but bought it just to play around with and mainly to see if I could get one...

Tell us about your home automation!

I don't know of any way to integrate Yolink with Blue Iris. That would be great if it was possible. Maybe someone more knowlegable than me can figure out a way. The Yolink app can be configured to send push notifications, text msgs and emails for each device. With their speaker hubs, you can...

Tell us about your home automation!

I've been using a Wink2 Hub and Z-wave for several years for home automation, but have recently switched over to a new system that uses LoRa (Long Range wireless). My new system (Yolink) consists of 4 door sensors, 10 leak detection sensors, 15 motion sensors, 11 smart plugs, 2 sirens, 2 garage...

Best deal on Imporx (Huisun) v2!

I replaced one of my Huisun's that died with a SV3C PTZ. It's a low priced outdoor 4x PTZ and was easy to setup. It's been working fine in BI but a little slow to focus when using the optical zoom.

Best deal on Imporx (Huisun) v2!

I use the I.E. tab extension in Chrome to configure my Huisun's, although I only have two v1's left that are still operational. My other v1 and a v2 died a year or so ago.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Same here. I have 4 Huisun's/Imporx (and only one has died, and that was on the hottest day of last summer. I replaced my deck Huisun with this Dahua 25x PTZ camera. I'm really liking the Dahua so far. The PT is a whole lot faster than the Huisun and IQ is great. Well the SD59225U-HNI does cost...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

It does look like it's still off, even with the shim which is about 1/2" (13mm) thick. Strange thing is that it looks square with the side of my house in this snapshot.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

You are right ljw2k. It's still not sitting at a true 90 degree's. The shims helped some but it would take quite a few more to make it square. For me it's more of a temporary mount until there's a better solution. It's mounted under my deck cover, so I'm not too worried about the elements...

They are hex head bolts that came with the PFA120 junction box and the allen wrench to tighten them was also included.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Finally got my SD59225U-HNI mounted today but I had the same problem as others with the PFB300S wall mount not having the correct angle. Ended up using shims to straighten it up some.

Comcast (Xfinity) will activate 1 Terabyte data limit plan beginning November 1st

Comcast at my mom's house is getting 240 Mbps down and about 10 Mbps up and costs $70 a month. Even though I monitor her cameras from my house using BI, there hasn't been any extra charges on the Comcast bill. Previously they had sent me a couple letters stating that I was streaming 2.5 TB's per...

I wish I would have ordered the PFA120 junction box at the same time I ordered the camera. Ended up ordering the box from B&Htoday.

Mine came by DHL, so I wonder if I'll get a surprise bill in the mail from them for tax or import duties? Or do you normally have you pay it at time of delivery?

Wow! Can't believe that I ordered the SD59225U-HNI on Sunday (02/19) and it arrived today (Wednesday 02/22). I've never received a shipment from China that fast before and wasn't expecting it today. DHL called me to make sure I was available to sign for it and it was delivered 5 minutes later...

Couldn't take it anymore, so jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a SD59225U-HNI too. Also ordered the 30w PoE injector, the Microseven mic and the 24V power converter. You guys are costing me a lot of $$$. :D

Can I use BI to connect / record from a Nest Cam in another state?

I had 5 cameras at my mom's house, 4 of them running wireless and one through a PLA (power line adapter). My mom passed away last December so I removed two of the cameras, but still have 3 (wireless) installed for security. I have Blue Iris running on my main PC at my house and I stream the...

    Cantonk shootout

I've ordered four of the BeSafe cameras and all have been great. I've sold all 4 and haven't received any complaints from my friends/clients. All of them have been setup using Blue Iris. As you mentioned, not a bad price for a decent camera. Will probably be ordering more, although I don't need...

Making a Hik 2432 portable with mini router and battery pack

I didn't check it for range but I know it worked fine in my garage which is about 50' (15M) distance. As far as routers go, I have always preferred ASUS routers. The router that I used at home for all of my cameras is a ASUS RT-AC68U with Shibby's Tomato firmware. The router I use for the...

Comcast (Xfinity) will activate 1 Terabyte data limit plan beginning November 1st

I think it's ridiculous too. I'm at about 1.5TB's right now and there's still 11 days left in the month. I'll have to pay the extra $50 a month so that I can continue to do the 24/7 monitoring of my 91 year old mother.

    HFW4300D Camera

Yeah, they've been using my videos on several different Ali camera sites since last year. I think they should pay for the use of my videos, like send me a dozen Dahua cameras at no cost. :peaceful: Thanks for the heads up on my bedroom camera buddy. Comcast (Xfinity) will activate 1 Terabyte data limit plan beginning November 1st

Twelve years ago, I had Satellite Internet which had a 350MB data cap. If I went over that limit, they would cut me down to dial-up speeds for several hours, which happened quite often. Windows updates alone would easily exceed that limit nowadays.

Comcast (Xfinity) will activate 1 Terabyte data limit plan beginning November 1st

Yeah, probably the BI server at my Mom's house would be the best way to go, at least the least expensive way. I have BI running on my main PC at my place which I use for everything including email, Skype, DropBox, TeamViewer, FarCry 4, BI and much more. Besides monitoring the 5 cameras at my...

Comcast (Xfinity) will activate 1 Terabyte data limit plan beginning November 1st

I would have to replace her PC with one that would be able to handle BI. It's an older PC and I only have it there so that I can remote into it using TeamViewer to reboot the Comcast modem when there's a WiFi problem, which is rare. I also use her PC to do remote printing from my place. Four of...
