NVR only record 20 days, with 40 days+ worth of storage

Thanks guys! Good point! I have been using SmartPSS, but I just checked the NVR interface but it showed exactly the same. Also, I have not been very deep in the settings, most is default so I find it very unlikely there should be a 20 day limit anywhere. If it was a full month it would made a...

NVR only record 20 days, with 40 days+ worth of storage

So I got my first Empiretech NVR in january, NV41AI-8P-4K, and put a new 4TB WD purple in it. Only have 2 cameras on it currently. According to my camera settings, and storage calculators, I would get well over 40 days of video. And when I checked the NVR about 20 days in, I noticed HDD had...

    Best low light PTZ?

After some digging I was able to find the f number on a t3 model(?) of the same camera, presumable the same lens: 6-216mm F1.2-F4.6 https://download.discomp.cz/hikvision/datasheets/DS-2DF6A436X-AEL_T3.pdf

    I like this PTZ.. HikVision - DS-2DF8C260I5XG-ELW 1/1.2" progressive scan CMOS @ 2mp.

So you need a business account? Oh well

Thanks Yep, I noticed that too! I wonder why the don't list it

    Best low light PTZ?

I would be great if you (or anyone) could take the time and explain why you would consider this (or something else) a better camera for me, especially in low light? From the limited knowledge I have, MP-sensor size ratio is important and 8MP on a 1/1.2 would be similar to 4MP on 1/1.8. The...

    Best low light PTZ?

Thanks. Intended use is pretty much nature and weather, mountains, animals, the sea, and the night sky and northern lights. But also keeping an eye around the property. AI, face ID, tracking etc are of no interest for me. Almost all targets are well outside IR range. Been running a Dahua SD49225...

    Best low light PTZ?

So I'm looking for a really good low light/night PTZ with at least 30X zoom. It appears that DS-2DF6A436X-AEL(T5) may be the ticket with 4MP, 1/1.8 sensor, f1.2 lens, 0.001 Lux rating? It's at the limit of my budget $1500-2000, and the housing has a diameter of 231mm which is the biggest I would...

No phone access with router in AP mode

Thank you so much! the link you provided adviced me to contact my ISP, so I did, and they will reconfigure the fiber sentral so I can use my router in standard mode, so hopefully I will get it up an running again. Edit, up and running again! :)

No phone access with router in AP mode

After my internet provider required to run my router in Access Point mode, I am no longer able to access my Dahua PTZ on my phone app (gDMSS) unless I am connected to my local wifi. Is there any fix for this?

    White-beaked dolphins

I captured these guys swimming along today. They are often a lot more playful, but usually when it's some wind and waves, so not so easy to get on camera then.

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Just thought I'd share a small clip from Sunday with the SD49225. Some Aurora Borealis in real time, all settings default. I'm pretty impressed with the low light performance! Now, if I only could reduce the noise :blankstare:

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Interesting. dbl click fullscreen works fine. Use Win 10. I havn't tested the options for running it on other browsers yet. ------------------------------------------------------- Right now I'm struggling with something else :banghead: I'm not able to log in to my Easy4ip account from the cloud...

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Hmm, Interesting. I just tried to change the screen resolution from 2560X1440 down to 1080 with no luck. I also have a 1360x736 screen hooked up, but it's the same problem on that one too. Haven't tried the laptop yet. Edit: Thanks guys! Got more replies when I was typing :headbang:

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)

Any idea why I cant see the entire camera picture in the web GUI? (internet explorer) If I have the Live window open with the PTZ controlls to the right, about 20-30% of the bottom and the right part of the picture is missing. I have tried to play with the window setup buttons on the lower left...

Objects far away not in center with 0 tilt (or -5 tilt)

Thanks! I guess you confirmed that there is nothing wrong with the camera per se. I could always tilt the bracket, but then I just lose elevation in the other direction (corner mount) So I'll probably try out a turret cam. The dome cam will go into the beginner mistake account... Not sure about...

Objects far away not in center with 0 tilt (or -5 tilt)

Thanks for the tip! Looks very interesting. Better low light capability too it seems?

Objects far away not in center with 0 tilt (or -5 tilt)

I haven't decided on anything yet, but was looking at the DS-2DE5220IW-AE or similar. Anyhow, pictures explain this tilt issue better than words. If I want to check out the shoreline on the other side, I only see water... 0 degrees: -5 Degrees: -5 with 20X:

Objects far away not in center with 0 tilt (or -5 tilt)

The tilt angle is preset to -5 degree in the menu. That is the max (or minimum). Since this is a hanging camera, I assumed 0 degrees meant I had the horizon, or any distant object at the same height, in the center of the picture. But here it seems like I need closer to -10 degrees to get it...

Objects far away not in center with 0 tilt (or -5 tilt)

So I installed my very first IP cam yesterday, a DS-2DE4A220IW-DE But there is something, probably very obvious, about the tilt geometry that I just can't wrap my head around. Why isn't an object 2 km away, that is the exact same height as the camera, not in the center of the picture, when...
