probably a dumb question, but Ill ask it anyway. I already have NordVPN for my phone and home pc. Should setup NordVPN on my ASUS openvpn, or just do the plain Asus OpenVPN using the VPN server option.

Well that sucks. My router (Eero) does not have VPN support built in. I think I need to buy another router just for VPN and connect my Eero network to that.

So I think I've just decided to get a black outdoor cable and put it in a white small cable race. Kind of strange no one manufactures white outdoor cable.

It is just for a single wire. The smallest conduit I could find was 1/2" which is still somewhat bulky compared to a single cat6. I was hoping to not have to spend time painting a wire, and paint doesn't stick well. I guess I can just run the cat6 I have and change it out every few years, but...

Is there enough room inside the junction box to hide the connection? I'm going with a Dahua setup from Andy, but didn't consider junction boxes or mounts for fear it woul make the camera stand out more.

Can the cameras be direct mounted to a wall without the junction box or wallmount?

any reason you recommend a 16Ch? Its for my home install. The house is only 2300 sq ft and 6 cameras provide enough coverage. 8 would be overkill, I cant possible see the need for more than 8. Do the ports get used for anything else?
