No sorry, it doesn't. Mine was tested with both 12V and 24V poe injector and doesn't switch on with these voltages!

Answer by myself. Yes it is ! The usual distance of this VTO from POE injector is longer than the one from a switch POE to the internal units. Thus a cable awg23 or 24 is too small to carry more amperes in a 12 or 24V for long distances. With 48V 0,3 amperes are more than the double amount of...

Hi, You can't modify any signed firmware !

Me too bought the same VTO from Aliexpress, maybefrom a different seller, but mine has SN on NET config and on VDP config also. About reset I have to point out that you have to push the reset button five times sequentially and not five seconds.

Two comments: first time I explored mine, config tool identify the hardware as 3221; secondly, VTO 3221 doesn't exist in any list of devices made from Dahua in all global search I've made. So to me 3221 and 3211 are two versions of the same hardware, eventually for different market ( China...

Tried with a V3 multilanguage and a more interesting SIP ( General_VTO3221D_Eng_P_32M_SIP_V3.200.0012001.0.R.20180330). But can't understand the reason why with VDPconfig the upgrade process is stuck at 50%...

Sure, tried..... and bricked the VTO!:facepalm: A week of work to unbrick it with UART and TFTP. Luckily there is a thread here that helps people to recover these devices, IPC or doorbells, it's the same. They appears to be signed firmwares also, but I can't understand the source of these...

Thanks for answer. Surely I know it appears an ingenuous question. But I have in mind if this device accepts old unsingned and new signed also firmwares could mean that if you remove all signs on each folder/file it should accept it like an old unsigned fimware.

A question to anyone can answer: wich tool could be useful to reverse the action of unarchiving a bin image file? I mean how can I do reconvertion of unarchived files from a firmare image to recreate a new one ? With 7zip we learned how to open a firmware bin image and see the files, but 7zip...
