FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

I seem to have fixed it. Not sure why I have to do this now since its worked without this option for 7+ years.

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

Something new I figured out. If I create a new share, then map it up, BI recognizes it and can write to it for a very short period of time. Then it goes back to Unknown size and Clip: Disk Not Ready issues.

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

Its connected to a NAS, so the shares are spread over many drives. No other services or vms I run have any issues. I did attempt to delete the shares and create new ones, that didnt work either. When they were deleted, and remapped to the local Windows OS, I verified they are readable and...

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

I wiped all of BI5, reinstalled, same issue. Rebuilding VM is next on the list, I guess. No response from email support :(

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

Ya, its aggravating. Im going to probably just install a fresh Windows VM and BI. Hopefully the settings and camera exports maintain most everything I need.

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

I completely deleted the shares and recreated them. No luck. Its like BI just can't read the disks correctly:

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

Yes. same user. I have not, but suppose I could. Havent had any issues on any build, so not sure that'll help, but I'll try.

FIXED - Clip: Disk Not Ready / Check folder exists with adequate free space

This issue all the sudden started about 3-4 days ago. BI has been running fine for about 8 years now, through 2 different Unraid systems. Now it will not record anything due to this issue, along with not recording snapshots due to: "Check folder exists with adequate free space" There are 3...

Recordings have modified time in the future

The Unraid server where the files are stored, uses chronyd I think. Bios is correct, server dates are correct, even the created time is correct. So something is changing the modified date. Like you said though, not sure I care. So far, no issues. Just very odd.

Recordings have modified time in the future

They are stored on a linux based server (UnRaid). Which is showing correct times and updates frequently with NTP. If its time was having issues, I would have a lot of other things breaking.

Recordings have modified time in the future

Hey all. Im trying to figure out what process is changing the modified timestamp on my recordings, here? The file name has the correct date, the Date Created is correct. But the Date Modified is way off. Ive checked my dates/times on: BI server, Cameras, and file server. Any ideas? Thanks.

Motion sensors on Sub stream profiles

Awesome, thanks guys. Ive got a lot of experience with tensorflow and building custom models. Been meaning to go this route, you've all given me the kick in the arse to start.

Motion sensors on Sub stream profiles

Right thats my next project. Although I want to be able to detect animals, as well as humans/cars. Ah! Good idea actually. I'll move mine from the 2 hours they are at, to 30 mins and see how that works for us.

Motion sensors on Sub stream profiles

Ok, thanks. I'll just have to deal with it I guess. Interestingly, when running in main profile and not sub, I did not have any of these issues. Motion detection captured all the cats, foxes, coyotes and deer, that my wife loves to look at :) - and seldom captured insects. I cant run without...

Motion sensors on Sub stream profiles

Thanks for all the feedback and replies. My question to those of you that have such low make times, how do you possibly deal with the 10's to 100's of false positive motion sensing due to insects? My thought on the higher make times is attempting to catch a person or animal that is walking...

Motion sensors on Sub stream profiles

I did change the motion zones. I do however have the other 2 still set. Ill try disabling them. Here is an example of one of the cameras that has issues with object motion.

Motion sensors on Sub stream profiles

I moved a lot of my cameras over to sub profiles for a lot of things within BI, to decrease CPU use. I realize by doing this that motion sense also uses the sub profile and the resolution is thus lower. However, even setting my cameras motion sensors to min object size, it still seems they...

    oooh! brilliant. ok thanks.

Mounting Bullet cameras to metal soffits

Oh, this is a good idea actually. I could remove the current soffit piece which is about 2 feet wide, and replace it with a stronger aluminum piece. Happen to have a photo?

Mounting Bullet cameras to metal soffits

I just bought my first ever bullet camera and its a beast. Im replacing some turret cameras I have, that are mounted to the soffits. Im not sure the soffit can really support the weight of this new bullet camera. What recommendations do you have on how to handle bullet cam mounting to...

    Thoughts on dome cameras outside?

Thank you so much. Its often hard to find good comparison images. 27mm at 95ft is plenty good for me. Good to know.

    Thoughts on dome cameras outside?

Interesting. Its DORI says Identify at 131ft. Ugh. I still have so much to learn.

    Thoughts on dome cameras outside?

I would like to stay with turrets, and I will be going mostly turrets, but that camera I linked is hard to find any comparison to in turret or bullet form. I need at least 16mm+ to see identify the road which is 90-100 feet away.

    Thoughts on dome cameras outside?

Ive been looking at purchasing some new cameras, since mine are all about 5-8 years old. I've picked out a few, but some of them are dome cameras. Throughout reading the forums here, Ive seen a lot of people say they dont prefer or recommend dome cameras for outside use. What are your...

    "Best" Current Recommended Cameras

Thanks, good to know for my side yards. I think with my garage LED lights, I should have enough ambient light out front. Not to mention 8 months out of the year are covered in snow.

    "Best" Current Recommended Cameras

Thanks thats good to know. BI is a must. It runs everything for me, is a fine tuned machine after years of use, and Im getting into playing with AI Tensorflow integration. I also have it all hooked in to Home Assistance for triggers and what not. It would appear people on here really lean...

    "Best" Current Recommended Cameras

Thank you both for your detailed information and suggestions. Thank you for the sensor size vs. resolution information. Absolutely not, do my cameras come close to that. I by no means have enough experience to say Im right or wrong about anything, thats why Im here. I can only state what...
