Dahua 3841T-S vs Dahua 3841T-S2 - bad quality - hardware problem?

But the problem is more complicated. If i setup resolution higher that 1920x1080 on Main stream - the problem doesnt show - works well. Real problem is that i need to use those cameras in Corridor MODE. And limitation is that i can only use 1080p resolution then.

Dahua 3841T-S vs Dahua 3841T-S2 - bad quality - hardware problem?

Hello, I just compared two cameras as mentioned before. I bought 8Mpix ones. On one site i had to lower both profiles to 1920x1080 because of NVR limitation and bandwidth problem. I suddenly realized that S-series cams has real problems with firmware or hardware in quality when 1st profile is...

    Bootloop DH-SD50225U-HNI

Dahua PTZ has two independent CPUs inside. Main one is SOC in zoom module where there is all hardware like ARM CPU, encoder, Ethernet and sensor connected. Second one is based on small PIC which you load MCU update files if they are available. Both of them start independent when powered on...

    Dahua Web 5.0

Got a 3841-S2 device with Web 5.0 Firmware. Sorry to say that but it's bad. Btw. Taurus uses CHIPUP XS7320 CPU. No comment..... New cameras quality: " DHBOOT_part_checkAddErrCount error count:95 " EDIT: 20 reboots later: DHBOOT_part_checkAddErrCount error count:101

PTZ Locked status - tour disabled

No Sebastian. You miss the point. First. I am telling you about cameras that i use. There is no way that since latest changes - the PTZ mechanism in 4 and 5 series would die after 3-4 months of continous usage. If Dahua added such functionality, it means that the quality of mechanism is low...

PTZ Locked status - tour disabled

You don't understand what i am talking about. I am using Dahua cameras in continous Patrol movent since about 10 years. They work 24/day 7 days per week. I know what i am talking about. The only camera that broke was a 6 series dome cam and 8 series dome. Mechanism died about 2 weeks after...

Dahua Login Bypass Tool - Chrome Extension

To anybody affected by current HACK going on all Dahua Cams and guys who lose their password and cannot recover "admin" account. There is a way to recover camera and regain access to "admin" account without resetting camera. I wont make it public because it's a new loophole in FW (CVE 344 and...

New Dahua PTZ will stop working after X amount of movements

I warn You about new Dahua PTZ cams. For me: DH-SD49425XB-HNR The camera will stop Tour operation or autoPan after X amount of movement cycles. It will then go into Disabled mode and only manual movement will work. On the screen i see "Camera locked" and Tour Disabled. Few days before it showed...

    Dahua config backup encrypted?

I am able to do this. Config is firstly gzipped and then crypted using AES. Key is type of camera. IPC for still cams and SD for PTZ. Rest is padded with zeros.

New Dahua cams are not HiSilicon based, watch out!

More info: 1. TFTP reset procedure is IN KERNEL at Kernel boot - if you flash and something goes wrong with kernel - you have a dead camera. 2. No console, crippled Dahua Bootloader without antyhing more than booting image. 3. All is secured by RSA 4. Software looks a little bad according to...

New Dahua cams are not HiSilicon based, watch out!

kobebeef - do You even know what you're writing? Recovery via TFT is not possible via upgrade_info.txt file because all functionality is removed because of limitation of size in IPL in Uboot payload.

New Dahua cams are not HiSilicon based, watch out!

DId you even see software or you just write? Uboot even doesnt have command line, it just boots kernel which is checked accross RSA key.

New Dahua cams are not HiSilicon based, watch out!

The quality of software is a pin. Bootloader i.e. is a BLOB with crippled Uboot (which is embedded as compressed xz stream inside...) just to boot kernel. There a lot of registers and it looks like a huge "try and merge" old code (sonia and rest) with different platform. Many of things is...

Firmware for newer dahua cams as well as detailed specs available here

This problem exists since 2017. It is very visible in slow paning. I had to patch it remove the problem as Dahua dont gives a s..... Also upgrading will not give a way back as secuity level is incresed from 1.4 to 2.0 and firmware is encrypted.

New Dahua cams are not HiSilicon based, watch out!

Just wanted to let you know that new series of cameras that Dahua are selling are not HiSilicon based. They use SigmaStar/Mstar CPU/DPSs with NN (SSC339G). Just got one of them, firmware is SecureBoot, crippled. Testing the stability. Was able to decipher firmware and get inside but those CPUs...

    Dahua config backup encrypted?

Due the fact, there is a script available that allows reading and even modifying the internal config of dahua devices (Dahua-DHIP-JSON-Debug-Console) this issue seems to be obsolete now. Try to modify PTZ speed level ratios via this method :) Good luck...

Dahua Firmware Mod Kit + Modded Dahua Firmware

watchful_ip, I patched all of this and made a uncrippled firmware for 59225 PTZ cam. But new series like 5442 has secureboot fuse burnt and even that i cracked all of this - there is no way to load it into camera. Now i have a good paper brick :)
