2021 Full Color 2.0 Has a Fantastic New Dual Lens Camera

How do I explain to my wife that I want to throw out all of my perfectly good cameras?

Has the competitor Hikvision released their own version of this technology?

can you measure the diameter of the lens?
maybe the bigger is the new color 2.0 lens, the smaller is the old 5442 lens ... (assume that both sensors are 4mp 1/1.8")
Damn, i asked dahua send me specification, they told me still not ready, and send me a sample ask me to check myself, lol.
Today ship out, can be here on Sunday.
I asked the engineer how is working, he said like a dual lens iPHONE, haha, maybe they test too many cams, :headbang:

maybe they use the overlay function from thermal cameras...
on some better cameras with therma its really sharp... on cheaper thermal cameras the overlay is not perfect which gives you a drunk look

on the photos in pdf it looks like there is IR led and white LED ... but after you posted the real picture i am not sure what the leds are :D

Thermal is totally a different tech, they don't need real good pics, but can alarm if have fire or some heating objects coming.

I was referring to "color night fusion technology" which is older than the internet. mostly they use thermal cameras, but there is some new paperwork with AI technology and/or false-color/IR combination (like many other research from china ;))

its interesting to see that dahua seems to use these technology with 2 cmos sensors (bw and color)... really interesting stuff because there is nothing on the market like this

thermal+cmos is used in some military/government equipment

Assuming they leave out the bayer filter on their monochrome sensor (which is the obvious thing to do), that should allow more light in to each pixel and significantly improve low-light performance compared to the same exact sensor and lens setup with a bayer filter.

Test on the 3rd floor 10m/38ft high.

IPC-HDW5231R-ZE, 2MP Starlight. Camera default come with IR light on, so have to press it to color mode. Will get a 4MP and 4K color4k-X to test here later, haven't take the cams back home.
