I don't know much about Dahua NVRs, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'd like to spend sub $500. I need a 32ch, 2+ satas, and I'm all set PoE wise, but depending on the price, it might be nice to have a few in case one of my injectors fail. Rack mount would be ideal.

A quick AliExpress search points me to a NVR4232-16P-4KS2. Would that be okay?

I have 15 cameras, mostly Dahua HDW4231EM-AS and HDW4233C-A. Also a C35 and an Amcrest 841. Eventually I'd like another 2-3 cameras.

I'm currently running a dedicated i7 4790 Blue Iris machine, but I'd like to use it for something else. I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of either getting an NVR or finding another cheap i7.

Thanks

Hi Shbek1,

I have the NVR5216-16P-4Ks2, works well for me after updating the firmware. I picked this up from Andy @EMPIRETECANDY , he sent it quickly to me - so you may want to check his store if he has what you are looking for instock.

Heard some lower models may not work as well with IVS features after updating firmware versions, thus I would recommend looking at the NVR5232-4KS2 or NVR5232-16P-4KS2 models.

If you are running blue iris you are going to be sorely disappointed with a stand-alone NVR.... Why not just buy another machine for 300 to 500...
