3D Positioning in Blue Iris

Is anyone else having problems with the 3D Positioning feature in Blue Iris? Any recommended troubleshooting steps to try?

I have the SD5A425XA-HNR from Andy @ EmpireTech and everything works great, when I am using the NVR I can drag a red box around the POI and it will center in on that box and zoom in as desired. When I use the "Toggle 3D Positioning" feature in Blue Iris it goes to a totally random & incorrect position than what I have selected. (Example video here). However all other features like PTZ functions & Preset Positions work fine through Blue Iris so I don't "think" its a problem with linking the PTZ features. Not sure if this is a camera problem or Blue Iris problem.

If your PTZ 's "Settings" =? "PTZ/Control" is set to "ONVIF" try "Dahua 4" or "Dahua 5".

Yep, you need to use Dahua New v4 in PTZ settings.

Thanks guys, I changed from ONVIF to Dahua New v4 in PTZ settings and that resolved the issue. Thanks again!

Pro tips for 3D positioning in UI3:

• The middle mouse button can be used to do 3D positioning at any time (you don't need to turn it on first)
• 3D positioning via primary mouse button is temporarily enabled while you are holding the CTRL key, as an alternative to clicking the button first.
• The above methods also work while viewing a group of cameras!
