5.7.5 - April 20, 2023 - Onvif updates

Yes. I have tried it with Motion sensor checked and unchecked and global DIO checked and unchecked.

I have it sitting here just watching car and car go by and not a single alert trigger lol

And I am confirming on my main machine that the camera is ONVIF triggering. I even tried a stand alone camera in case some weird pulling too many streams issue was happening.

I just discovered something strange. I went into the camera GUI to look at how I had IVS configured for the camera and I didn't have any rules setup. However, I did have smart motion detection enabled.

Edit: I setup an IVS rule and it is still working.

No consolation for people having issues but all of my cams except clones are configured to use ONVIF to trigger BI and I like others had the initial problem of no alerts being shown but a restart of the BI service fixed that and all cams are triggering as normal with no issues.

Not to pile on but I'm seeing this issue on my SD5A425XA. I can see the events in the camera web UI but nothing in BI.

Comfort in knowing it isn't just me LOL.

Make sure you send in a comment to BI so that he is aware lots of people are having issues.

I also have 5442 and update BI , 5.7.5.2 and no more ONVIF triggers :(
Maybe we could post our 5442 firmware version:
2.840.15OG008.0.R, Build Date: 2022-02-18

Same here. No IVS or Smart Motion triggers from one of my 5442s that I'm testing. Firmware version is V2.840.15OG00D.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-18.

So I've tried this on four different Dahua camera models and it works on an IPC-HDW5231R-ZE, IPC-T5842T-ZE and SD52C225U-HNI, but does not work on the IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E. I'm wondering if it's a firmware issue.

Just heard back from Ken...
"I made some changes for 5.7.5.3 that will probably help, but if not, please send an actual XML containing the IVS events please."

More changes coming per Ken

Addressing for 5.7.5.3 now.

The order does matter ... so I am adding the move buttons and the enabled checks.

Yes the intention is to ignore the entire message if an "ignore" item is found to match.

This reply was his in response to my questions:

1. Are applicable 'Listen for' rules performed in sequence? Can a subsequent 'ignore' override a 'trigger' rule before it?

2. Does the order in the list matter?

3. If list order matters, might be possible to add the capability to move 'Listen for' items up/down the list (like the Presets editor dialog).

4. Might it be possible to add an 'Enabled' checkbox to each 'Listen for' item in the list (like you have in the Action Set dialog). I was thinking this might be helpful for running experiments/tests.

I have a 5442T-ZE (firmware: V2.840.15OG00D.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-18) and stopped getting IVS triggers with BI 5.7.5.2 too. I was able to get it triggering again by adding a new basic ONVIF trigger to the list (screen shot of the ONVIF rule attached). It's probably a bit of a hack but gets it going for now until a better solution is found...

Is this for an intrusion event? Any suggestions for a tripwire event? Thanks

Correct, that is for intrusion events. My tripwire events are also working. Screen shot of that rule attached. I can't remember if that's a default rule or I modified it though sorry.

This might also be relevant. In my IVS rule config:

Tripwire, I have target filters turned off and direction set to to both.
Intrusion, I have target filters turned off, Appears and Cross checked and inside unchecked. Direction Enter/Exit.

The default for tripwire is different than what you have. Instead of Contains, it's Node path.

You also have the enabled checkbox option. Guessing you are running BI 5.7.5.3? It might have changed between versions or I modified it. I don't remember touching it though. Most of my triggers are "intrusions".

If you change it to match mine do they work?
I'll try and see tomorrow, thanks!
