5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

Ok know i will get the turrets does it matter if its the acesee brand or the longse direct version like the op has?
and i know you guys said acesee is a sister company will the firmware be interchangeable or is there minor differences. I am asking because if there is no difference i would like to go with the cheapest one. are they water resistant? as they would be outside if not whats the next best alternative.

There is someone else who bought bullet and it had issue with constant reboots, perhaps they have some faulty hardware in them. Btw, I have one which been in service for 4 months now and it's rock solid, but I am not buying any more of them.

I just prefer mini PTZ

Whats the default IP? I cannot find it...:(

192.168.1.168, you can use ipsearcher tool included on cd or download from their website.

The disc was in 10 pieces!!

All sorted, thanks.

The POE module. When installing the camera outside. Should this module be outside due to heat? Australian roofs get quite hot in summer.

It hasn't been exposed to "hot" PNW summer yet, I will let you know after 6 month of it being inside electrical box :)

klasipca, have you got the motion detection email notification to work?

Yes, nothing weird about setup and works quite good with Gmail. As a matter of fact motion detection works very well without having pir sensor

Can you take a screen grab?

So you wont be buying anymore longse cameras in favor of the Huisun Mini PTZ 10x zoom ?
How does it compare for night time recording is it as clear as the longse, you guys making ti difficult to choose :).

IQ isn't the best with Huisun which using IMX322 sensor, but the benefit with PTZ 10x and nice IR coverage outweigh its cons. You can do so much more with having PTZ then having to deal with a fixed cam. With that being said, I simply love night IQ with Longse s500 and frankly that's the main and probably the only thing I like about it. I look at all those night sample image from new Hikvisions/Dahua 4MP which I also owned briefly and it's just "night and day" difference. The main key ingredient to look in IP cameras as well any other digital camera is how big the sensor is. With Longse it's currently as good as it gets for the price.

This looks like a good site to compare images, no Hikvision there, but for instance you can compare s500 to Dahua which isn't much different from Hikvision since they use the same size sensor 1/3.

Whoa, where are those test images from? They are funny but also a sign that someone is really serious about their camera testing.
