I'm putting together a surveillance system, and have already purchased a Hikvision 2132 and 2532. I also have a DS-7608 NVR. I haven't installed the system yet, just burning it in...
Just saw this Q-See system at Costco (Mods, please delete if this is not allowed):

So, now I'm thinking of getting this system to use with my 2 Hikvision cameras, and save the DS-7608 for a second installation. The description of the Q-See claims ONVIF compatibility. On the list of brands supported, Hikvision is not listed. I'm assuming this is due to Hikvision being an OEM. Went to the onvif site and found that the 2132 was certified, but could not find an entry for the 2532.
These cameras should interface to the Q-See, correct? I assume the Q-See system is probably not as solidly built as the Hikvision, but the Costco price for the entire system with cameras is equivalent to the cost of my Hikvision nvr alone. What am I giving up with this approach?
