Alternative way of recovering HikVision NVR password

It's not in the same format that's the subject of this thread.

i went in the maintainance menu AND EPORTED THE CONFIG FILE FROM THE NVR . I KNOW THE PARTTEN NOT THE PASSWORD

Does the NVR have PoE ports?
Do you have a Hikvision camera with firmware older than 3.4.5 ?

No it does not have
I have cameras that are all v5.5 and above

That's a 'Password reset request export file' that requires a response from a Hikvision private support system, unfortunately this would have to be from Hikvision staff with system access.

But the product information suggests the camera should have a reset button next to the SD card slot.
If so - press the reset button, power on the camera, wait 30 seconds and the camera should be reset to defaults, 'inactive' so that you can 'activate' it with your own choice of password.
Use SADP to show the status and activate.

Thanks, but it doesn't have a sd slot, inside it has a small soldered battery, but I can't find a reset button

I was responding based on the Hikvision product info here :

but I now realise that is for the -UF version of the camera.

Belkin6647!
Hopefully that will be the same as that of the NVR.

Hi, i have 8 DS-2CD2542FWD-IS cameras, where i have forgotten the camera administrator passwords for the cameras and they are all the same password as i remember making them all the same.

I see your guide is for x32 Cameras, Is the process still the same for my cameras. They are all on version V7.3 190128
