Am I wiring my connectors properly?

Also as a general rule, dont edit posts with new information. This creates an illusion that I didnt respond to your comments when they were not there in the first place. Please tell me why I must remove masking tape from an ethernet cable????? Have you gone insane?

But wire a cable to a non-conforming standard??? That is low iq type work.

That is sad. Wiring a cable to a non-conforming standard is common practice at you worksite?
The op is installing a system at HIS OWN place of business.
 
We use coded cable tags at work .
let me know if you need any , and what code to use especially on sensitive loops ....
'as your suggestion of making tape and a sharpie would have me firing you ;)

please explain how "A' is not a standard .

So you use tags at work but instead at home, you simply wire to a non conforming standard. I think you missed that "non conforming" part of my post. If everything is B then A is non conforming.
I am gonna guess that you are a newbie journeyman....you dont use common sense. PLEASE TELL ME how masking tape is a problem? You can't. Stop being stupid and giving folks bad advice. Seems that you are an electrician dabbling in cameras and have no clue about cams or ethernet.

masking tape tape is just fine .
as a temporary tool for the painters .

'unfortunately , it's not written in our specs , General Electric aero engine specs , or the electrical installation code .
And the 3rd party code inspector follows state and federal installation guidelines and if it doesn't pass inspection , we can't fire the turbines .

i wish my life was as simple as common sense and sharpies :)

Its not about argument. Its about posting misinformation. STOP editing your posts with new information after replies have been made. It is deliberately misleading.

I dont do anything related to ethernet or electricity. I have installed HUNDREDS of cameras outside of my field of expertise. I have run over a thousand ethernet runs. I will tell you that you are not using common sense. Therefore you cannot answer why I cannot leave a cable unterminated or why I cannot label a cable with masking tape. More to the point is your suggestion to wire the cable to a non conforming standard as an identifier is insane.
Sometimes you need to use common sense rather than what a code book tells you. Use your brain every once in a while.
Furthermore, not that it matters, but simply posting an image and claiming to do something for a living is meaningless. You could be the part of the team that writes NEC code and I will tell you that you are wrong. Finally, point me to the section of the code that says I must terminate ethernet cable. Then if it exists, explain WHY. You cant.
