Amazon cheating Return

Will Amazon treat this the same way if someone buy something expensive from Amazon and then return a Super Mario box to them instead.

hello Andy, if you let us know where this happened I am sure someone one this site can do a drive by and get eyes on your camera. It is probably installed doing active duty and easy to see. Might be able to persuade the person to do the right thing. If its in my area let me know I would love to look into it

Hope they catch the people that send back crap.

I've read that the warehouse workers are on the clock for each package that they have to fulfill, so it's not surprising that sometimes things get damaged. Last thing I returned was a couple years ago, the chandler glass was broken, got an RMA and dropped it off at the local Khol's store to ship back to amazon.

Had a package delivered that I didn't order, but had my address on it! Checked my amazon account to make sure someone didn't hack my account (no). It was a few IoT devices (garage open/close, an amazon dot and smart light). Contacted amazon and they couldn't figure it out, asked if they wanted it back but they said no, keep it...I donated them instead.

Update,1 good news, 1 bad news.

Good news, the big SD5A425GA-HNR cheating return amazon refund the payment to us.Not full money, deduct their commssion cost
Bad news , they ask us to take a pic again to prove the Mario box is empty, haha. Hell.

Wow.

Any idea if they are going to pursue charges against the fraudulent return or prevent them from buying from you or providing you with who it was so you can file charges?

Like I said, inside and sold on Fleabay or right back to one @ their "store front".

Wouldnt be impressed if amazon just trash everything they receive back from police.
All cases are already closed (christmas lol 6 months ago). No need this stuff anymore.

This doesn't sound like good news at all. It costs the business so much time and aggravation for the refund that can't even cover the original value of the item. And it seems like Amazon is passively making business jumping through hoops as a discouragement to get the refund. Maybe they will ask you for more photos again soon.

And worse, the fraudster who pull this off will do it again if he can get away with the scam in the future with Andy or other honest sellers. Guys like that needs to be caught and punished.

well.. wait till you get the invoice.

Cost of SD5A425GA-HNR $750, deduct Amazon commission cost $1000, Super Mario collector's edition empty box $1000. Debit EmpireTech account = -$1250.
You pay now Andy!

I think Amazon expect the business to write off expenses like this very much like they do but not businesses are as large so simply can’t afford to.

Years ago my credit card got used in somewhere like Dallas if I recall to buy jewellery. I got refunded but I asked if they would pursue the people fraudulently using the card as they’d have video evidence as the store will most likely have CCTV. I was told it was not worth their while or the hassle and it would simply be written off as a debt just simply due to the amount of money they make.

This is why fraudsters and scammers continue as they know full well that the chances of there being any comeback are minimal.

And that's also one reason why credit card interest rates are so high, to cover these sort of losses.

Update..going crazy now for the super mario....

Need more pics, make our warehouse guy mad, lol.
1. Take Toys out and take a full pic of the toys, take pics alone without box.
2.Put the toy beside the box(Make sure RED box open),and take a pic. Have to take the toy out off the box.
