I had to back up a jitterbug between two other 40 foot trailers. That to make deliveries in what amounted to a bread truck.

I do not think that 'most people bitch' unless there is a reason. So from your statement, you are implying it is OK for the driver to cause damage during the delivery and the customer has no right to 'bitch'?
I wasn’t implying anything other then exactly what I stated. I highly doubt most the time that a delivery driver purposely drove over a flower bed or what have you. Everyone knows by now that most everything is on camera of some sort and being recorded. They drive in many driveways and have to make sure to maneuver the truck out without running someone or something over. Big truck and big tires probably didn’t see or feel the flowers. I highly doubt driver has something against anyone’s flower bed or personal property. And No one wants to deal with that headache of a pissed off customer complaining. So I highly doubt most incidents are on purpose.

You're right, most are not out of malice, but they are the direct result of carelessness. That still should not be happening.
Which goes back to the amount of pressure they are under to perform to keep their jobs staying out late just to make it back home to their families. Also every driveway, property, area is different and until you are familiarized with them some could be tricky for your truck if you lose awareness of it being there.

As long as the company takes care of it, and it's not a regular occurrence, it's not a big deal to me. The driver should be made aware of the issue and everyone moves on. If it is a common occurrence with that particular driver, then maybe its time for him or her to explore other careers. For me, this is the first time I've had an issue like this with Amazon, so I'm not too upset. If they make it right, I'll likely forget it by the end of that week.
I dont see the guy being malicious at all. Now if he pulled the stunt that was in Sebastian's video, I'd have more of a problem with it and would not want that driver on my property again.
Sounds like you need a 2X4 with some nails on the days you see deliveries are due.

The world is full of mindless, shit people. That is why it runs as poorly as it does.
People need to start being respectful of their surroundings and pay attention to wtf they are doing, 100 deliveries or 10. It's a big ass van with blind spots...drive it as such.
Apparently they have not learned anything. Here is it happening again yesterday. Some pretty nice ruts under the wet snow.. Unbelievable. Filed another claim just now. They have been ignoring my last claim.

I fixed my problem by lining the driveway, top 60 feet and both sides, with 6x6-12' treated. What's funny is that a young lady, making a Wally World delivery, managed to back right in to the driveway, all the way in, and she was driving a full sized, bread truck, style van. These Amazon drivers seem to have a problem even going forward, let alone in reverse. I do plan on adding 6x6 to the lower portion as well, just to make sure.
I sent the youtube links to customer service. I asked the person starting the claim to look at them. She said they cannot access external websites from their offices. I asked what the best way to send video proof is. She said to attach the video to the email response to their claims department. Yeah, right. I guess that means they don't care about video evidence and have no desire to see it.
Has anyone ever successfully resolved a property damage claim from Amazon? Or is their claims process just a brush off?

I've gotten a few credits from them, in the $35 range. I have yet to hear back from them on the latest problem. As I said earlier customer service, unless it's the kind of service a bull provides to a cow, is not on Amazon's priority list.
Whomever is reasponsible for sending the individual and van to your address is an insurance policy holder and culprit.
If the driver is not under the influence then yes Amazon is liable to pay for damages and mental stres.. If I may be so bold to make a suggestion. Contact you your insurance broker and allow them to do the battling and be reimbursed. To many times people get shafted by the games companies play. I know from experience
Before passing, I would enjoy hearing my mom correct mistakes insurence companys made in their favor. If she said I will just come over ther someone might get fired. What is so sad is the people did not pocket the etras money they withheld. They were trying to avoid a cost their company is liable for. Amazons insurence ccompany would be a prime canditate for having such a policy. Keepkng from paying for their damages and accountability. The first question is who sent him to your area. Thats the vehicles policy holder and reasponsible. As much as you are capable. Alllow your insurence company to intervene. Isn that why you pay.

I would not get my insurance involved, especially for a small amount. Many insurance companies will still count that as a claim against your insurance, even if they recoup the cost to "make you whole" - I had one friend that was dropped by his insurance and that was his only "claim" in 10 years with that provider. Another had their rates go up after.
I am sure Amazon has done as other companies and even if it is an Amazon delivery vehicle, it is probably a subcontract or some other company to minimize their liability.

Put this in the delivery notes when shipped.

Update: The claims department for Amazon (ARC, not sure if it's owned by Amazon), has given me an electronic check in the amount of the items plus tax that they damaged. It did take a call to their claims department to ask why they have been sitting on this claim for over a month. They say they are very backed up with property damage claims from the winter and holiday season.
