That makes sense. I didn't think about the DVR connection meaning fulltime streaming.

I would never have even thought about the camera not being always on, execept that 1 of the first cameras I got was a Reolink solar powered and it only came on with motion. It went back even before I found these forums and read about how "wonderful" those cameras are

It's a camera for those who need a floodlight, and we add a camera on it. You also can use a IPC-Color4K-T or IPC-COlor4k-X, they have led illumination.
