My friend just had his stolen off a F350 Platinum while in Miami. He said it was over $5K from Ford dealer for replacement.
OUCH! Dang, my first NEW car, a '69 Ford Torino 428 CobraJet was only $3,368 out the door...of course, min. wage was $1.25 and gas was $.24 a gallon then, too. I was making $3.30 an hour working in a Carling Black Label brewery south of Atlanta right before I got called to active duty.
I guess the formula is the same for then and now: you work about 1,000 hours for a new car!
Tony, the gate keeper bracket looks like a good idea.
Yes, it does, especially if you have no tailgate lock. Having the tailgate locked can solve several issues....like having those tail lights stolen, too.
This company make many items other than the "Gate Keeper", as the turds steal batteries, tailgates, license plates, tail lights, pry and punch door locks, etc.
If I still had my '08 F-250 Super Duty (sold it & 28' trailer in 2016), I think I'd get the McGard lock
here.
