I like that idea! All the reviews I have read are great on the mini!I just ordered 5 of the 119 mini @ $85.99 each. Every usable car in my driveway will get 1.

Just an FYI, this guy had a Viofo A229 Pro fail in a real accident. Not known if it's widespread with that model or not...
Thanks, gives me pause....
He had a early production model for reviews i assume.
ps. VIOFO as a brand has developed a reputation for caring about support / user comments / issuing frequent firmware updates that bring new features.
Which one did you end up getting? I got the A229 Plus and the A119 v3 and they are both great! Couldn’t be happier.SO I got one of these for our vehicles for Christmas, and a trip up north.
Wow, great camera! Images are much better than I expected, especially at night. Its a shame our surveillance cameras aren't this good at night.
Now if I can figure out how to reuce the file size on a 1 minute 354MB video clip I'll post some examples .....
Youtube is the easiest option preserving quality. You can make the videos unlisted. Now if I can figure out how to reduce the file size on a 1 minute 354MB video clip I'll post some examples
You guys are a bad influence. I just ordered the VIOFO A329.
I think I have mine set to 5 min, maybe I should change that.By default and as seen in my two samples, it breaks down video into 1 minute clips. at 4K they are 354MB each!

There is definitely a setting, not sure where it is though.I'll have to go in and look. I didnt see a setting but maybe there is?
Day and Night samples.
Note: I didnt have the CPL filter on so I'll get one with it this week to compare
Mrs bigredfish's idea of a 70mph speed limit means 65mph, while mine means "they wont probably pull you over at 79"
You can access the loop setting on the dash cam, although making the settings on the app is a bit easier (attached). I found that a setting of 2 minutes is the sweet spot. A setting of 1 minute creates way too many files, but 2 minutes is a nice compromise and allows easy editing of the videos on Final Cut Pro. Also, a polarizing filter definitely makes a worthwhile improvement, depending on the angle you have aimed the camera(s). Since a polarizer came with the 229 Pro, it was easy to compare the images with and without the polarizer. Good improvement, and when I added the optional polarizer to the rear camera of the 229 Pro, that made the videos a lot better. Again, I think the improvement is dependent a lot on the aiming angle of the camera and the angle of the sun.I'll have to go in and look. I didnt see a setting but maybe there is?
