So THAT'S why I could get no where!
</end sarcasm>

I'm not sure it's completely obvious, most forums like this out there wouldn't require you to login to just see content. To post, yes, that would usually require to be registered

True, but they were having such a huge burden dealing with spam and bots that this was implemented as a workaround. Keeping out the riffraff as best as possible....

Understood, but I wouldn't criticize someone else for not realizing that you have to login to see the forum, but that's just me

Yes, in the post you deleted. I don't remember the exact wording, but you seemed to make fun of the person that didn't realize you had to be logged in to see the forum, if indeed that is what the problem they were having. That's at least the way to message came off to me. You also reacted with

to my post above Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more! which I interpret as you laughing at someone who doesn't realize that you need to be logged in to see the forum? Or is there something else you found funny there?

No, not there but...it seems you're getting worked up over something that's not there....I certainly can be mistaken.
I did not mean to incite you or anyone else or criticize anyone here.
I consider myself articulate enough to be perfectly clear and leave no doubt who and what I'm referring to if I am criticizing someone, their method, their product or their proposal.
As a general rule, and I'm not pointing fingers here, but a forum can be a difficult medium to traverse if one is thin-skinned, overly sensitive or somewhat paranoid (thinking everything is directed at them).

Hey guys in reading the fix for the BIT weather updates on the posted on the openthings.freshdesk site mentions this:

If you don’t own a physical PWS, the generated PWS will not provide valid data. Do NOT use this PWS for weather adjustments.

Several users noted this fix as working. Are they getting physical devices, or am I just reading into that wrong? Thanks guys.

Yes, I have my own station and I'm still able to use Blue Iris Tools with certain other stations. For me it doesn't work with every other station, not sure why. Even though I have my own, I don't like using it for my overlay because mine is temperature and humidity only, so I use another local station.

What I have is and I upload data to Wunderground from it. I can confirm that this meets the requirements, and I'm able to use Blue Iris Tools and use the data from that station or certain other ones near me.

I followed the directions to generate an API key without owning a PWS device. I used the new API key in BIT for my weather overlay and thought I was in the clear. Worked fine on my BI system and my dad's BI system to display the weather overlay. But I noticed that in the middle of the day it'll stop working for like 6 hours. The 6 hours stoppage happens everyday but not always at the same time (usually around 12pm or 1pm ET). Not sure what's causing as I clearly have internet and I can see the station ID is actively reporting current weather. Maybe I'm pissing it off by updating every minute. LOL

In BIT I see the following error message below when it stops working for 6 hours:

Instead of seeing this:

I now see this:

See the clip log below. It shows it's working then it stops working then it starts working again.

I'm surprised you have it working at all without uploading data to Wunderground from a weather station. It literally says on the link Using Weather Underground (WU) that you provided, "If you don’t own a physical PWS, the generated PWS will not provide valid data. Do NOT use this PWS for weather adjustments."
