Blue Iris Updates (64 bit)

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread 5.9.9.19

Love BI, but 3 updates in 24 hours? :wtf: . Version numbers aren't even sequential. You working too hard, must have a hang over from new years  :highfive:.
Yes BI should be like all the others and make everyone wait 6 months to a year for updates. You do know you can and should disable auto updates. Don’t let the fact that the developer is working hard for others get to you.

What's with all these updates?, now my Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE no longer does PTZ. It was working perfectly fine. It still works from the hikvision web page, and my other foscom cameras work fine. I deleted and re-added my camera, and when using find it comes up as a generic onvif camera, when leaving it at this setting and changing the ptz to hikvision 2DE it works but very jumpy and not even close to how smooth it was running. When changing the camera to the setting I had "2DE", it doesn't work at all. Please fix this as this software is useless right now with this issue. Nothing on my end has changed except updating the BlueIris software 4-5 times in last week. I'm not sure which update started this, because I was off and on using the ptz controls in last few days.

Any ideas?

Blue iris is constantly updated with new features or bug fixes. You should have auto update disabled. Common sense. The real question is why you keep updating every time.
If you have an issue email support. Posting on this forum will do nothing.
You can download older versions in the download section of this forum.

I didn't have it disable, my fault. Obviously they messed something up and are trying to patch/fix it so they are updating rapidly. Bottomline is now the software is broken. Posting here so other folks will know the issues as well, Common Sense.

You posted here in an effort to get support you said "Please fix this as this software is useless right now with this issue". I explained that this wont help.
There is no "they" in blue iris. Its one person. This kind of rapid update is very common in BI history. The software is not broken because you cannot use your ptz or because you refuse to revert back to and older release. If you wish to move to a vms that provides updates 1-3 times a year, let me know and i will provide suggestions. Just use common sense in the future.

PCI compliance?

Why/what part of BI has anything to-do with payments?
If a machine running BI is plugged into a network that accepts payments, it can become part of scope. I've seen some posts here where folks have cameras directly over registers, and some where they're integrating the POS with Blue Iris (at least to provide text used for camera overlays).

I’m getting them fine. Maybe something else on your end?
