KB/s is different than Kb/s....

4,096 Kb/s would equal approximately 409.6 kB/s in Blue Iris.

Go into your camera GUI and you are probably at bitrates of the 10,000 range on two of the cameras and 8,000 range on the other two.

After you made the HA changes above, reboot your system and see if it changes. Mine went high after an update and went back down and stayed down after a reboot.

Ho I feel dumb now yes make sense now maybe I should reduce it and see.

Wow, seems high to me. My system uses much more by the OS than BI. But I still have yet to upgrade to version 5.

Check to see if your ram is truly running in dual channel. I use the ASUS CPU-Z that came with my motherboard for that.

My bitrates are up there like yours but I do not have the issue you have.

Anything higher than 4096kb/s? I'm only at 1000kb/s. My cam only support h264

I turned it down to 4096 as you said but no change on ram usage

I found the issue. It was the delay that was set to 2000ms (I used that to sync the audio being 2sec after the image). Now the ram is at 2.7Gb. I guess I need to live with the audio being delayed.

This give me hearburn for a long time, finally figured it out! (at least in my case), in BIOS I Enabled Hyperthreading, and also Disable anything "power savings" related (ie SATA, S3, etc)
