Does anyone know for sure which brand of image sensor Hikvision uses? I've heard some say that it's Sony Exmor, while others say it's Aptina brand sensors.

My 2CD3332-I camera boot log mentions "MT9T002 sensor" which appears to be an Aptina part number.

I believe it's a mixture of manufacturers, with sony suppling the larger sensors and Aptina and sony on 2cd2/3xxx based cameras, but with the 2 ptz I have they are clearly marked sony.

Does each specific model have a specific brand of sensor or can the same model number have different brands of sensors? For example, can a 2cd2032-i have a Sony sensor in one batch and an Aptina sensor in another batch? or would every 2cd2032-i always have the same exact sensor?

Component are a supply and demand issue, but all will have to meet hikvision standard or they won't be used.
