I have 7 cams connected to an NVR but one of the cams shows 'Offline' in the NVR. (I have not done anything to this cam such as try to update or anything just stop working in the NVR).
I tried logging in the web interface and I get a Page Can not be displayed message. I am able to ping the cam and also able to telnet into it, also SADP finds the cam and display's it's information.

Device Type
Software Version
DS-2CD3332-I
V5.1.6build 140412

This is a CN cam changed to EN.

Is there anyway I can just overwrite the cam's software using ftp/telnet and rebooting to see if it clears things up.

Appreciate any help.

The chinese to english may be the key.

Hikvision on some of there international (USA) nvr block the use of chinese cameras.

I would recommend not having the camera connected to the NVR, get a cheap POE switch or a POE injector, or a power wall wart and connect the camera directly to your home network.

Try to access the camera using a web browser or Hikvision SADPTool.

What is the IP address that SADP shows?
Is it valid for your network?
Sorry, not sure why I did not get notification for a response to the thread..
But, yeah. I get a valid ip and I am able to telnet in with not problems.

From telnet:

Code:
mint@LinuxMint$ telnet 192.168.1.194

It is raining today, but I was planning over the weekend to try your BrickfixV2.

It does appear to be a 'hacked to EN' Chinese camera.
BrickfixV2 should work OK.
But for the final firmware version use 5.4.5 not 5.4.41
Thank you..
Yes, it would be the same cam as in your youtube vid.

Also, I have in my notes..
Code:
The 5.4.5 version works OK in Stage 3 of the brickfixV2 method

Then you can do the web GUI update to 5.4.41, the very last R0 version.
Thanks so much will keep you posted.
