Cannot edit I Frame Interval on DS-2CD2042WD-I

I have a DS-2CD2042WD-I and the web admin will not allow me to edit the I Frame Interval. Does anyone know why?

Are you running IE11 with the webcomponents plugin installed?
Can you see live video on the Live Video page?

I don't have a machine that supports IE. I normally browse live view via the video stream through an app.

they are best configured with IE, yes. make sure the user you are logged in as has 'admin' permissions?...

Thanks - I can get live view to work in Safari. I still cannot edit the I Frame interval though. Any suggestions?

maybe post a screen shot of the page your seeing where you can't edit the i-frame interval?

my guess would be that enabling H264+ 'locks in' the settings below it (profile, i frame interval and SVC). do you need it? try disabling...

where brad explains that one of the 'features' of h264+ is VARIABLE i-frame intervals... so that explains it.

Separately, any good resources on how to select/configure a proper I Frame Interval?

I have seen many people say to match the iframe to the picture frame rate, which would cause a new iframe every second. This is how I have always set mine. I’ve never played with it for comparison though...
