I am trying to set up BlueIris with an 8 channel DVR made by CIB (model: CIB J960H08N1000G 960H -- http://www.amazon.com/CIB-J960H08N1000G-Resolution-Security-Surveillance/dp/B004XUJYAA/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t). I am able to view this DVR's camera via a 3rd party security cam apps on my Android phone with the app "IP Cam Viewer".

The Android app IP Cam Viewer auto-detects my DVR as a "Defender SN301 w/ Mobile Port". It says the default Mobile Port is 15961 but I overroad this to port 90. This app also has a device called "Defender SN301 w/ Web Port" but it does not work even after setting the port to 90. Only the mobile port version works -- I guess there's a difference in the behind the scenes URL that is created.

Blue Iris has a Defender SN3xx w/ Web Port but it does not work with this DVR no matter what I set ports. Blue Iris does not have a SN3xx w/ Mobile port.

Welcome to the forum..first ensure that you are using the correct user name, password and ip address. Log into to the dvr and double check the ports...the default should be 80 for http and 9000 for media. Enter the correct ports in blue iris. If that doesnt work try one of the two listed here http://www.ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=Defender
and use the default mpeg or jpeg selection on the top of the dropdown.

Still no go. Verified the login credentials & IP and tested creating a new camera instance in the android app using those settings so I know those work. Those settings did not work and I tried the Defender settings such as setting the path in the provided link as well with no luck. I get Error: 80002745 (Socket error: 10053) 0

I also made sure my windows firewall was off. I can load the dvr page at the IP address fine.

Note that my DVR is not actually a Defender brand but a CIB brand. The Android app just detects it as such w/ mobile port. The web port version in the Android app does not work which seems to match the name on that ispyconnect page.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot further or figure out how to connect from here? Thank you very much.

Hmm..when you did the ipcamviewer scan did you let it go all the way? Maybe there is another match...you can download ispy, their software has a scanner as well...you can also email support and give him access you your dvr and he will make it work..
