I searched and could not find an answer to this. Anyway for both Hik and Dahua NVR's with POE ports let's say a camera is plugged into the POE port and instead of using the NVR app on my phone i want to use onvifer I can not connect. I understand it is separating the networks but is there a way in the config's of either or both of their NVR's to allow this?

sorry it was so late evening I just noticed the sorry it was a late evening I just noticed the first post in this forum addresses this

On Hikvision NVRs, it's possible to configure the NVR and the LAN to enable direct access to the NVR PoE-connected cameras from a LAN-connected PC.
Though I don't know if ONVIFER will work across subnets - easy enough to test though.
Example how-to (change the mentioned NVR IP address to suit) :
Trying to set up nethdd with SMB, not working at all!!
