Dahua continuous recording to NAS

Hi Guys,

I have question, and reaching out for your help!

I have setup which consists of three Dahua camera's (IPC-HDBW4631R-ZS, F/W:2.460.0000000.16.R, Build Date: 2017-09-04), however I can't get the Dahua to continuously record to a USB share connect to my Fritzbox router. The SMB share is accessible through my windows browser. When I press record through IE browser it always saves the files locally to my Windows 10 laptop' C: drive.

I have checked the NAS tick-box for Scheduled, motion detection and Alarm;


I have put a schedule in place;


And completed the NAs settings as follows;


In the "event" field I populated these settings (but probably will not be beneficiary), since the mapping is from my computer to the NAS;


What am I missing here?

Did you try using the IP address for the NAS server name?
Local name resolution may not work from an IP camera.

Disclaimer - just guessing as not familiar with that IP camera -
Do you have NAS ticked under Scheduled in the Path tab of Storage Destination?

But presumably you want the camera to continuously record by itself.

Under Record Control, do you have Record Mode set to Auto or Manual?

@alastairstevenson, it is set to ‘AUTO’, should this be changed? I have the choice between Auto, Manual and Off.

I think Auto is the right choice.

I have just duplicated what I think is your configuration and it is recording to a NAS share by itself.

hmm this is really weird, I factory reset the thing and copied all the settings you have, and still it will not record continuously....









How do you 'start' the schedule?

The last change was to 'enable' the NAS as destination.

I see this is an old thread but I run into the same problem, well kinda.
I dont get any recordings on my Synology NAS. Is there a way to see if the cam and the NAS even connect?

I am having the same issue "when I close my browser the recording stops".
Does anybody have any solution?
