Hello. I just got my first Dahua IPC-HDW231RP-Z and, I have to admit, it's been a struggle.
I ordrered a Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z
IPC-HDW5231RP-Z was sent which I presume to be the same
This is how it came and remains unchanged

WEB Version: 3.2.1.474688
ONVIF Version: 16.12(V2.3.1.458331)
This is where I stand at this time:
Windows Browsers:
SmartPhones
A more minor issue is being unable to selectively delete recordings from the 64GB chip in the camera.
I found links to firmware updates in thread #134335. My camera is PAL. Is it safe to install the NTSC version? Should I update it at all?
What should I be doing about all these failures, especially the Smartphone failures? There will be a few iPhone users who will need regular access.

- This procedure worked on one W7 computer but not on a W10 computer. Very important: Troubleshoot/Internet Explorer ActiveX Setup - Dahua Wiki
- Pale Moon OK with plugin
- Chrome not OK with plugin. Unsucessful
- Firefox not OK with plugin. Unsucessful
- Edge Not OK
SmartPhones
- iPhone:

- Chrome asks to download and install plugin. Unsucessful
- Droid untested
