Does the NVR have the ability to see the HDD SMART attributes, as Hikvision NVRs do?
If so - that will confirm the state of health, or lack of it, of the HDD.

Isn't that just swapping drives because one is full?
if it had more than 1 drive possibly but only 1 is in there.
This encouraged me to turn on email notifications for Disk Error under ALARM-> Exceptions. At 42601 and 42018 Power On Hours Count they’re probably living on borrowed time
not a bad idea.

With the caveat that I'm unfamiliar with the definition of those Dahua messages - that looks more informational than error.

I assume you're talking to the OP but everything looks similar on my end 5232-16P-4KS2E V4.002.1CKA000.0.R, Build Date: 2023-12-05. Had never seen this screen, always finding new buttons to click

Its not a FW thing I wouldnt go down that rabbit hole.
I was simply inquiring on the newer version. Im happy with the one I have no need to risk borking things up if no problem.

If you’re not absolutely positively prepared for the NVR to never work again, don’t even try it. I have a spare one and like I said I’m willing to take a risk with this stuff and possibly be frustrated for days until I figure it out
