Interesting. They are setting expectations rather low, e.g., just 80% accuracy and up to 10 false alerts per day for fighting:
Recall rate ≥80% (Correct alarms/real events)
False alarm frequency ≤10 false alarms/24 hours (Target size: The fighting target takes up 1/4 × 1/4 of the whole image).

In a prison setting, there is likely someone watching the cams anyways, so a false alert is no big deal, the alert will ensure the guard watching the cams wakes up. We eagerly await an ipvm test of the fighting detection.

We've dealt with many high security operations over the years and they virtually all hate false alerts because it is a distraction and gets them in the habit of distrusting the alerts generally.

We are certainly open to testing it but, given Dahua's US government ban and sanctions, unlikely for it to be sold / marketed in the US. We do have an analytics test report coming out Monday that includes gun detection.
