Dahua Serial number ID

Does anyone know where/how one might access a serial number lookup to check what/who sold this, as at times there are cameras and NVRs on Ebay and not knowing if these are US English upgradeable models it seems a risk to purchase, there is a dealer login for that, and seems as one time there was a link to "overseasdahuatech.com any advise suggestions or anyone on here have a dealer access Thanks

Useless.
If the camera has been hacked the serial numbers are meaningless.

imho:

w/re to ebay / aliexpress / amazon: Only buy from vendors recommended here by members.
Lots of fraudulent listings and incorrectly described products there.

only buy models which members have positive reviews on, or one's which you have an opportunity to return w/o too many issues.

remember to check out the cliff notes.
