Dahua VTO2000a with wrong MCU firmware

RioGrande75
Thank you in advance for everything you posted on this forum and for any tips you may have given me. I actually managed to develop developments and techniques on the VTO but in reality I still don't have 100% back. Summary: The problem I have already explained previously. I started with ST-LINK V2 trying to reset the HEX file. I can read and write without any problem on the VTO (The last HEX file I loaded was the one available at General_VTO2000A-MCU_V3.000.0000000.0.R.20181123

Then I explained the problem again and RioGrande75 said to continue searching the forum and I did...many hours later and with the purchase of TTL UART Serial converter I can load the firmware I want with that technique of changing the first byte from DH to PK generate the various files etc etc and following the instructions I managed to gain access to the VTO again.
Current status: I can access the VTO via IP, I can see the VTO on my cell phone via P2P but...... I can't get the ring button to work, nor can I get the door relays to work. From VTH I can get it to detect the VTO via IP but I can't access the VTO image or open the doors. What could be happening?

(Firmware used General_Multi3_VTO2000A_EngItlFreGetDutSpaPor_P_16M_V3.200.0000.0.R.20190221 )
Good News
Not yet installed on outdoor where module DEE1010x is mounted. Till now VTO call VTH, VTH Answer and open door 1. TOmorrow I will install on place to test rs485 module.
Uffff......

PS: I dont know how to solve the connection to the IPC/XVR on port 554. Before all this problems it works fine... any suggestion ?

Now Installed and at work ! Uffff hard job but educational ;)
Now million dollar question.... WHY my VTO change the language for English ?? I login change it to portuguese, but after reboot (it makes reboot after change language) it goes again to English.
Dahua told me.... its old...buy a new one

Can someone guess it ?

What firmware (not MCU!) did you install? Did you install language pack (needed to have portugese)? If yes, what version?

I used the one in your list General_Multi3_VTO2000A_EngItlFreGetDutSpaPor_P_16M_V3.200.0000.0.R.20190221.bin
First flashed with TTL terminal
THen after realive used configtool ->upgrade firmware -> main program -> General_Multi3_VTO2000A_EngItlFreGetDutSpaPor_P_16M_V3.200.0000.0.R.20190221.language

After that login, change language to portuguese, reboot and in portuguese.... for 1 minute.... then back to English.
:(

but after all my problems and when at point of saying " I wish to VTO comes back and English language is the minor of the problems...." .....

Once I thought that the problem could be on small battery on PCB that I suppose it saves all the definitions of setup. But I changed for a new one and still same problem regarding language

This is way too old.
Upgrade via Dahua Toolbox to latest base fw for VTO2000A: General_VTOXXX_Eng_P_16M_SIP_V4.300.0000002.0.R.20210722 the official way.
Then install latest language pack addon (via toolbox): General_VTOXXX-data_EngDthFrnGerItlPorSpa_P_16M_SIP_PART_V4.300.0000001.0.R.20190322

I flashed 4.3 firmware but because it’s SIP and VTO is non SIP I thought the problem was about that. But VTO with SIP firmware works with non sip VTH ?

Forget the old non-SIP stuff and go to latest SIP software on all of your devices.
There were so many bugs, most of them have been fixed in the recent releases.

Off course you should not flash a SIP language pack over a nonSIP base firmware. This would lead to behaviours like yours.

Hi everyone - i'd like to borrow a thread as I have a situation and would be happy if somebody (@riogrande75 seems very helpful) helped me a bit!
I live in a building with 8 apartments and we have the following setup since 2019:
VTO2000A - V3.120.
8x VTH5221D - V4.000.

My unit died recently so i was given a new one by a reseller here in Slovenia (VDI4007GW-P). That new unit has V4.700. version on it, so that's with SIP and all others including VTO don't have SIP versions. Consequently i can't connect my unit to VTO - only camera and unlocking works, but nobody can ring my apartment and communication doesn't work. The reseller just briefly stated i should update all devices to SIP versions, without any additional help.

My questions now:
1. Where do i get latest firmware for VTHs with Slovenian language (ideally)?
2. Where do i get latest firmware for VTO that will for sure work for VTO2000A as i read is GEN1?
3. Do i need to update only firmware or anything extra? Any instructions anywhere online regarding both matters?
4. Ideally i wouldn't want to bother my neighbors about this so it would be much easier for me to simply downgrade my new unit to non SIP firmware - is that even possible? I don't care if it would be outdated, as long as it works without me bugging neighbors.
5. Any extra tips for me?

Thanks!!

Hi!
This is definetly the wrong thread for your problem - pls. create a new one!

You can download all neccessary files from here: dahua-vto-vth-firmware-link-sammlung-anleitungen

Off course you have to upgrade and reconfigure all your neigbours devices as well.
As your new device seems to be latest generation, I am afraid that there is no Non-SIP firmware available for it.

So the only way is to go for SIP. Pls. note that you have to have some basic understanding in regards to dahua's philosophy of device management.
I suggest also to watch some videos on how to setup a sip server on vto + hook up the vth's.
