Damascus Has Fallen: Assad Has Reportedly Left The Capital

Syrian special forces have taken shelter in the Alawite coast. Don't think they have a chance against Turkish drones and airforce entering syrian air space nor do they have any resupply route. The only thing that kept Turkish planes out of Syrian government air space was the Russian air base that had the S400.

The HTS terrorists who now hold power chant "Allah Akbur" at every video. These people below from Syrian Elite unit shout Syria.

Russia and Iran really dropped the ball on this one ..

Asad picked Iran as an ally .. not a good play on his part, as no one really wants Iran to get Nukes ( reportedly they are very close )

Turkey looks to be the major winner, especially if they now can pull a pipeline from Qatar through Syria and then Turkey to feed the EU ..

imho USA should have left Saddam in Iraq .. no way an Iranian pipeline would have gone through Iraq as long as Saddam was in charge I would think

That's lot of fire power still there. Only the S400 battery was removed.

I expect(ed) a stronger defense of the Coastal strip of the Alwites in Syria

Surprised that Asad regime collapsed so quickly

Looks like Syria's economy was in deep trouble, as Kurds and American's controlled the oil producing areas .. ended up in the pill trade ..

Syria .. the summary ..

This is probably the root cause for the war in the middle east in the recent year or so.
Iran didn't want this.

From what I can tell, this War has been going on since Syria agreed to have the Iranian - Iraq - Syria natural gas pipeline constructed. Looks like about 2011 ..

That would have given Iran tons of money, and helped Iran get stronger military assets and allies .. this would have hurt the Sunni Nations, Israel, EU, and USA interests.

There's a reason why the USA has troops on the ground in Syria to help the Kurds, and why Israel is also providing assistance.
and as well
There's a reason why Russia has troops on the ground in Syria ..

This conflict has been going on for quite awhile now, we are just seeing the pot boiling over at this point.

( again, this confirms my initial opposition to the invasion of Iraq .. Saddam and Iranian Leaders did not get along, and I believe Saddam never would have allowed the Iranian pipeline through .. of course, that is just my guess at this point )
